I recently had the pleasure of stopping by Dilly Dally for brunch and it was one of the best stops I’ve made in a long time. On the immensely popular Vanderbilt Ave., it’s a standout - a remarkable fact since it’s one the newest establishments to grace said Avenue. Its charming exterior is as inviting as the space itself. Vibrant natural lighting, eclectic music, and art laden walls give it the comfort of a home…which (I believe) is key for a neighborhood establishment....
It’s good to have another brunch spot but it was mediocre. The Turkish eggs were way too garlicky, I prefer Colonie’s version with herbs to this very garlic and chive heavy version. The server was nice but only came to the table once to take the order. Their breakfast tea option was Lipton. Lovely interior, felt more like an upscale diner in some ways.
Service is slow/lacking. Food is mid. I got the steak and eggs for brunch and asked for my eggs over medium and they came out BEYOND over hard and super dry. Steak was good. Overpriced for what you get and kind of cramped.
