Bad service. Bad food. Outrageous Price. Fraudulous practice. They charge more on your credit card than on your bill.

The manager is rude and a liar, . We asked about food without pork. The waitress told us that all meat is made from pig, even pastrami is made from pork. But the manager came and said that it is not a pig, but I just pointed my finger at the waiter. I said but she said that it is a pig at this moment. He got angry and kicked us out of restaurants and said, “I don’t care what you want to write about us. In your review

What a find in South Williamsberg. A converted antique railcar diner. I can not say enough about the staff from the front of the house to servers and waiters.
We had the Caesar salad, stracciatella, swordfish, and the classic cheeseburger. Everything was delicious and well prepared. I asked for a rare, and it was perfectly cooked. Loved the detail of the waiter writing out the menu on the table for us and giving us great recommendations. Because they source different local ingredients based on what is available, causing the menu to shift frequently while also having some core staples like the burger. It was explained that beef and bread and other ingredients are sourced under the supervision of management.
It's easy to access from NYC. I took the East-River NYC ferry to South Williamsberg. Also easily accessible by subway, via Brooklyn L or M. I love this place. It's on my list of stops while in NYC.

Honestly love this place. Was the first restaurant I went to when I moved to the area and was blown away by their mussels with beans dish. Chefs kiss. The burger was equally good. Caesar was ok.

Beer selection I think needs some changing but otherwise great place!

This is one of my favorite spots in Brooklyn and it’s great for a date night/special occasion. The staff is very friendly and yes, a member of the team will come over and walk you through the menu for the evening. This is because they source different local ingredients based on what is available causing the menu to shift frequently, while also having some core staples like the burger.

We had the Caesar salad which is the best Caesar I have had, the roasted peach porchetta, and mussels.

The wine list is also a plus!

Incredible thoughtful fast service. Maybe the best Gibson I’ve ever had. Their burger is the best I’ve had post covid.

Reservations are mandatory for a place called “diner” on a Wednesday night at 9pm? No, don’t seat the people who are currently present when there’s 3x tables available, because you don’t have reservations. Guess first come first serve doesn’t apply here. Get some good pizza down the street instead.

Takes a long time to dine here because the server comes over and personally tells you the entire menu and writes it on the table. Appreciate the personal touch but it does take a while.

Grilled eggplants was good and so was the brick chicken. The burger was a bit lacking unfortunately.

Overall a nice dining experience and unique, small menu though.

This place is amazing. Everything was delicious. Just be prepared to listen to the menu being told, instead of reading the menu. I really liked all of their garden party cocktail.

Make a reservation ahead of time.

We were recommended this diner on the plane to New York and it didn't disappoint. Great servers, always smiling and happy to help. Delicious food and a great place to spend some time.

Marvelous! The yogurt with granola and jam was amazing and the jam homemade. The best eggs!

Truly a delight from service, to atmosphere, to the incredible food. Our waiter was a joy - kind and warm and gave us great recommendations.

The quality of the food and ingredients were just off the chart. The chicken on a bed of cabbage in a miso sauce was transcendent. Every ingredient in the burger was impeccable. The Caesar salad was divine.

We ate every bite and it all looked, smelled, and tasted so amazing that we were deep in the moment and I failed to grab a pic until dessert.

Can't rave enough, really. It's somehow both unassuming and elegant. You've got to experience it.

Used to be great but too expensive for the level of service being this poor. Seems like they can’t quite manage the expanded space at the moment. Hope they get it right
