I’ve eaten here with my family about 4-5 times now and the food is always perfect!! Gyu don, chicken katsu don, karaage are all so delicious and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere, service, and music are S tier. This is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Brooklyn in my option.

Good food, good prices, good service. Sushi quality is great for the price. The tea drinks arr also yummy. Love having a view of montague street for people watching.

Quaint Japanese eatery located on the second floor with a blink and you’ll miss it entrance. Has a Japanese charm about it.

Gyudon - pretty good. Meat not the thinnest sliced but has authentic flavor.

Tendon - light batter is delicious.

Salmon ikura don - salmon is fresh.

Rice was a bit mushy at the top and hardened at the bottom. Might have been sitting out the earlier lunch hours.

Not too crowded for a Sunday late afternoon lunch but as it is small I can imagine it filling up quickly.

A little pricey but food portions are okay.

Waiter seems quiet and introverted but provided adequate service.

If you’re looking for Japanese food in the area, this is the best place to go. Food was incredible, the ambience is very cozy, and overall I had a great experience. 10/10 would recommend. Great service as well.

Such tasty food! Good for a post-work beer and rice bowl or weekend date night. The salmon bowl is delicious, but my favorite is either the eel bowl or the chicken katsu. I always get the omelette skewer (it’s a little sweet and has some tasty seaweed and cheese on top). The atmosphere is PERFECT for Studio Ghibli fans or anime in general. I love to sit by the window and relax with the view.

Great spot for a DonBuri bowl of fresh Sushi. Kenny is super cool and nice. Would recommend the Yakitori as well!

This little Japanese spot is a GEM!! From the moment we walked in, the service was attentive, friendly and quick. You can tell the chef puts so much thought and care into each dish. The presentation was beautiful and the flavors did not disappoint. 💯 a revisit for us just to try the rest of the menu. The space was clean, cozy and just has that perf hole in the wall feeling. Highly recommend if for any occasion but on a late night when you just want to have izakaya chill vibes with the best playlist and the perfect place to be cozy and leave full and happy, this is the place.
