Dun Huang is a cozy spot for good food at an amazing price. The portions are large, and the flavors are balanced. The garlic oysters were a highlight—huge and perfectly grilled. I also loved the thick noodles in the Big Plate Chicken dish.

The beef in the hand-pulled noodles was just ok and could’ve been more tender. The beef skewers were very average, but the enoki mushroom skewers were a surprising hit.

This location is brighter and renovated vs. the 8th Ave spot, making it a more comfortable dining experience with less-crowded street parking.

Overall, it’s a solid choice for a large meal.

Great food at affordable prices! The staff were wonderful as well. The dry hotpot consisted of high quality ingredients and was cooked with rich savory spices.

I went here for lunch and had the beef bottle and pork burger with soda combo.

The beef noodles were good. The broth had nice rich flavor and transferred to the noodles well. The noodles had a nice bouncy bite.

The pork burger wasn't so great unfortunately - the pork barely had any flavor but the bun was good.

The service was spectacular. They were not rushing me but also attentive and the food came out pretty fast.

I went there as soon as it opened. I mainly ate noodles. The noodles in clear soup were delicious. However, the roujiamo this time was not very good. It was very hard. I don’t know if I forgot to put the xiaolongbao on it. When it came up, there was no juice in it. Oh, the steamed dumplings are stuck to the oil paper and can’t be pulled apart.

This restaurant has reminded me of my experience in West China food-wise. As a Chinese by origin (and a northener), I enjoy Western-Chinese(geographically) food a lot. These are kind of my favorite Chinese food types. The food was authentic, and I'm surprised the they have the dessert soup that tastes so local. I wish I can come as many times as possible.
