Love this bar. Hadn’t been back in a while. It was a cold night and who wouldn’t want to sit around the fire? I would have given 4 or 5 stars but they used a maraschino cherry in my Manhattan. Why not a Luxardo? Disappointing.

Terrible experience. Bartender is condescending and the vibe feels like you just went down south where POC are not accepted. The music was horrible. Honkey tonk. You’re a bar in the most historically black neighborhood in Brooklyn and that’s the music you choose to play?? Literally NO ONE from this neighborhood wants to hear that. There was not a single POC and as two brown girls we got side eyed not only from the bartender but also the white male patrons whom would have preferred to keep the library vibes. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for years, never came here because I always was told how white it was, now I know.

Really chill, homey bar. The fireplace and decor make it a 10/10 cozy winter spot. The cocktails are good and there's some decent beer options. Staff is awesome, especially the really cool bartender(she had short hair) who let me run a tab and charge my phone while I was locked out of my apartment
