Perfect spot for bunch! This place was so lovely and had a nice vibe. We came during a slow time which I love. We ordered an iced latte and hot coffee along with the Fish out of water and the loaded Hash

After visiting the egg spot on Elizabeth Street years ago and having a great experience I was so excited about coming back and getting some delicious ricotta pancakes. Unfortunately, the one on Elizabeth no longer serves ricotta pancakes but this location does.To my disappointment, the pancakes were not the same and I just didn't have as good of an experience as the first time. My husband and I both got the ricotta pancakes and they were lackluster in every way compared to our first experience. Very lemon forward and had no Brown butter taste compared to having a good balance of brown butter flavor and lemon. We also got the soft scrambled eggs which were good but we were charged $2 for one set and $8 for another with no explanation as to why. Additionally, we ordered a biscuit with honey butter and jam, some chicken strips, Orange juice, and lavender lemonade. The biscuit and chicken were very good but the lavender lemonade was way too tart and the orange juice was ok.The customer service was also very lackluster compared to our first experience. We didn't feel welcomed at all!! Our server Jiro never once asked us how our food was and had a very somber attitude the whole time but had the audacity to ask us for a tip as we were getting up to leave. Tipping is complimentary and it is very tacky to ask for when you provide 0 customer service and simply just take the order and bring the food out.I suggest this location have a training session with the other location so they can improve their customer service and make sure their food is consistent in flavor and price.

They charge a credit card fee which is illegal in NY.

Very cute shop. The Capitan burrito with chorizo was so good! And can’t go wrong with eggs benny. Kinda wish they served one toast, salmon, eggs Benny. It got soggy by the time I was on my second one and it wasn’t really too good.Buttermilk chicken tenders were really good!Ricotta pancakes were meh, and coffee was meh.

The ricotta scramble did not live up to the hype for me, everything else slapped hard, from the service to the coffee drinks. Really wish I had ordered something different. My cousins for was phenomenal, she ordered the Avo&Egg and the chicken bites, and thankfully shared ! MyLavender latte was yummy- highly recommend. The space was super cute, pale colors and light wood really open up the space and given there aren't any windows but in the front that's really important. We had a great rainy day breakfast, and I highly recommend if you're in the area.

Worth the trip.....Upon walking up to the quaint entrance you will see a sign on the door that reads "Pull very hard, we mean very hard" & they meant it-lol. Once we made it through the front door, we were greeted by their friendly staff. It was a Tuesday afternoon so it was not crowded at all & we were quickly seated. Shortly after ordering our food started coming out one after the other & everything looked delicious. The Turkish eggs had a very balanced taste with the perfectly toasted sourdough bread, which added a great texture. Ricotta pancakes were crispy on the outside & moist on the inside, topped with raspberries & lemon curd. If you love pancakes you should definitely try these. And now on to the headliner the Hot chix sandwich. First off, I'm not a fan of cucumbers but something told me just to order the sandwich as is. Also, the waiter did recommend that I top off the sandwich with a fried egg, best decision I made all day. The Hot chix sandwich has a very unique taste & I'm sure you will never taste anything else like it. Definitely check out Egg Shop, it's worth the trip!
