Sorry to say this but the food was absolutely disgusting.? I ordered the bibimbap and it was cold when I got it, even the egg was ice cold but somehow slimy at the yoke. It appeared that they made it earlier and just let it sit under a heat lamp until someone ordered it. Sad to say that was $20 that went straight into the trash.

Such a sorry excuse for Korean food. I grew up eating delicious homemade Korean food so I was so excited to try a place near my boyfriends job, but I was unfortunately so disappointed. This is not good Korean food. The jajangmyeon is bland made with mushy thin noodles (it is typically supposed to be made with a thicker noodle) and the entire meal tasted almost water-logged. I am the last person to waste food but this was practically inedible. It was made with a pre-made sauce with minced pork that tasted old. I took 2 bites and asked if we could exchange it for a different item as it was not edible. We even offered to pay the difference of a different meal if it was more expensive than the noodles. An older man who I presume is the owner came out and said we cannot exchange bc it was mixed? The sauce came poured over the noodles so I don't understand how you are supposed to try it without mixing it. It also leads me to the assumption that if it wasn't mixed they would have separated it again and served it to another customer ? Instead of handling the situation with professionalism the owner decided to yell, curse at me, and throw a fit like a child. The child they had running the counter has better manners than this person. If you want to open a restaurant you should be able to handle criticism or simply cook your food the right way. The "fried dumplings" tasted bland and must have been frozen. The bulgogi was also watered down like the noodles- you could literally see the water. The kimchi wasn't sour and barely tasted like anything. My stomach immediately felt sick after leaving so I am surprised anyone can tolerate this low-quality food. I am utterly disappointed and disgusted at this failed representation of "Korean Comfort Food". There is nothing comforting about bland, watered down, and mushy food. The owner also needs to learn to either accept criticism with professionalism or learn how to make decent food.

Ejen is one of my favorite Korean spots in the city — it’s all-around amazing comfort food. From the jjajjangmyeon to the Tangshan-yuk/-tak, to the sundubu, it’s flawless. Don’t miss the ginger persimmon drink, which I thought was a refreshing guilty pleasure till I was informed it’s sweetened only with the signature dried persimmons that are a Korean delicacy. Story goes that this spot was opened by a couple when their daughter wanted them to move to nyc. It’s home food, and you cannot miss. Industry City is full of delicious things, one of my favorite burgers, the incredible Japan Village. But if I’m there during Ejen’s open hours, I know exactly where I’m eating and have to think really hard about which things to order.

Really cute place, the staff is super kind, and the bibimbap was super good!!

Only drawback is that the portion is a little small for the price ($16). That being said, it was definitely filling enough

apparently no one speaks Spanish here, they gave me something completely different than what I ordered…

You should consider that you are in an area where there are so many hispanic people, Hispanic people also deserve good customer service

I got Japchae which was delicious, but was kid size portion. Never in my entire life have I seen such minuscule portion at a take out place. I say that as someone who can never finish the whole dish, and typically takes leftovers home. The whole Japchae could fit in a palm of my hand. There was more rice than the actual food I ordered. And even with me filling up on rice I still left hungry. I paid $15 (same price as I pay at a sit down, high end Korean restaurant) for this and felt completely ripped off.

The Galbi was extremely fatty, sinewy and tasted bad. And while I recognize that shortrib is fatty, the meat was unappetizing. When I brought the dish (with one bite out of it) up to the counter (quietly and respectfully), the owner was insulted, unyielding and unwilling to make things right. He said if I didn't like it, I should throw it out and then walked away from me. All-in-all, a disappointing experience. I won't be back.

Food is tasty enough but extremely small portion sizes for the price, so buyer beware. Could be spicier, imo.

Homey korean run by mom and pop. Its nice to have ginseng chicken soup on a cold day (i think the soup is a little over salted) and the chicken meat was soft and tender.Ahh another thing is, no tipping was asked on the payment screen. Thank you halmeoni and hal-abeoji. Will be back soon ~ ~ ~

Food was delicious! I haven’t found a spot in Brooklyn that serves korean jjajjangmyeon except for this spot. The beef kimbap was also very good. Definitely hits the spot and all the food was delicious! Would def come back again ?

Decent food, but the portion size was tiny, terrible value. I ordered a japchae and got about 4 bites of noodles, then they filled the rest of the box with white rice and kimchi which made no sense with an order of japchae. Stick to Ktown
