Loved everything about this restaurant. The food 10/10, the Rum punch was perfection, the staff were all so nice and attentive. Had the pleasure of meeting the owners….so sweet, so kind. I’m definitely coming back for the goat pepper soup and more. Please check them out.

45 minutes to get 3 drink orders and 1 hour for 3 out of 4 appetizers to finally arrive at out table. Once arrived 2 were inedible. They we're heavily salty and spicy. There wasn't enough light, we had to use the flashlights on our phones to see. The staff they did have mostly stood around and interacted more with each other and their phones rather than the waiting customers. They damaged my birthday cake. We didn't even stay past the appetizers. Worse restaurant experience.

I really wanted to give a higher rating, but our waitress didn't even know what a Stella Artios was. The food took a long time to come out. If this is the norm, I think a complimentary basket of bread or corm muffins should be implemented. I ordered the Jollof Rice n Jerk Chicken great flavor, the jerk sauce was on point but some of the rice grains were not fully cooked. Overall, I'll give this place a 7.5.

I had high hopes for Eko and was excited to celebrate my birthday there. I called weeks in advance to make a reservation, and everything seemed set. I even discussed specific details with the staff to ensure everything would go smoothly for my birthday night. However, on the day of my event, I received a call informing me that they could no longer accommodate my party due to the number of people I was bringing.
While I understand that things happen, the fact that this was communicated to me at the last minute was extremely unprofessional. It left me scrambling for alternative plans on a day that should’ve been stress-free. Had they informed me sooner, I could have easily made other arrangements without the added frustration.
I do want to note that the lady who helped me with the original reservation genuinely tried to work something out when I called back. I appreciate her effort, but unfortunately, the last-minute change left me feeling very dissatisfied. In the end, I had to go elsewhere to celebrate my birthday.
Eko might be great for food, but their handling of reservations and communication leaves a lot to be desired. It’s a shame that this overshadowed what could’ve been a great experience.
Such a vibe, everything is 10/10!! It’s my second time here!

We were long overdue for a date night and hubby had mentioned us checking out this newish restaurant in Brooklyn.
For context, we are Nigerian and so I was interested in seeing how well the naija centric menu items were made.
Our first mistake was coming out on a Friday night cause apparently there is a House DJ with quite loud music which didn't gell with our date night vibes, We could hardly hear each other or the server and waiter.
We had two appetizers, Asun and Goat pepper soup, they were both a 7/10, so good but not mind-blowing.
For our entre, we opted for a dish to share, the Asun pasta, we liked it and would love it an 8/10. It's basically a rasta pasta with spicy goat meat.
Slight delays with service, possibly a short staff issue, but other than that Overall a 7/10.

Eko by far has become one of my favorite restaurants and is my weekly go-to for food and drinks. The coconut rum punch is the best you will ever taste! I’ve tried just about 90% of the menu and everything is finger licking good. My favorite appetizers are the Asun pepper meat, oxtail dumplings, salmon sliders, and the salt fish fritters. I have never been disappointed with the food and service. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. My husband and I always resort to this spot because we are never disappointed.

O took my friend out for her birthday to this restaurant. First time I went. Didn’t know it existed until out of the blue it popped up on my feed and so I made a note to try it. The food and service was absolutely delicious and on point, especially for the location. My server Abena was on point. She went above and beyond my expectations. The staff was very friendly and made you feel at home. Although we didn’t have a reservation, the manager TerryAnn(i hopeI i spell this correctly) accommodated us, OMG I have never had this happen to me before. Zymanie the bartender them drinks girllll, you got us. Shy Shy thank you. I recommend this restaurant and I will definitely return 100%. I recommend everything on the menu, however, I had the Jollof oxtail and the goat pepper soup, to die for. Try it, you will like it.

Soothing atmosphere, beautiful aesthetic, great appetizers and yummy drinks. The main course was not worth the price— small portion, mediocre taste, and was lukewarm when it came out. The service is the weakest point, our waitress was unprofessional, hasty, and hard to get a hold of despite it not being packed that day. The space itself is a bit tight with very dim lighting, with disco ball like dancers doing random dances that do fit the Afro-Caribbean aesthetic of the restaurant. It all seemed a bit too busy. I think it’s a nice spot to meet up for small bites and drinks, but not a well rounded dining experience as it’s marketed to be.
