I've tried to find something they don't do well, but failed. This place maintains cleanliness and the proprietors are friendly, attentive and honest. The restaurant proprietor displayed sweet consideration. I'm still dreaming about those flavors. I voiced appreciation for this spot.

Lousy tasteless food! Do not waste your time unless you have money to waste. Chicken Blab, tasteless, rice blab, beans blab blab. Service Blab Blab. Save your money my friends, this is not latin food, not even an imitation.

Alwaya yummy i got empanadas, a quipe, and a ham and cheese sandwich it tasted like a dominican bodega sandwich and the bread was fresh and nicely toasted. A few staples for me are also the pollo al horno and those beans taste amazing. Please dont switch the chefs whoever is cooking God bless their hands

I was on a work trip and brooklyn, and we were walking past this place we decided to stop by in for lunch and man there was a line out the door. Non-stop traffic so you know that was a green flag. So we paid our dues and waited also but it was worth the wait the rotisserie chicken was so good with the beans over rice and the plantains or pretty much perfect.

I have placed an order for catering. I ordered maduros, chicharrón de pollo sin hueso, and pollo guisado. All large trays and food was great. I did wish I was able to order over the phone and do a deposit by card but I had to come in person for it. I don’t live the borough but the food was worth it. The workers overall were great and very accommodating. My food was ready on time for pick up and they carried it out to my car. Food was very delicious and everyone loved it.

It is one of my favorite latin restaurants in Williamsburg Brooklyn. The food is amazing and the staff are always super helpful .

They truly have their on and off days. For the most part, the food is good. Prices are great, especially in this neighborhood. I always get the combo meals for my family. It's a great deal.

I would give this place 500/5 stars if I could. The company I work for recently moved offices to Manhattan, but working just down the block from El Gran Canario before that, I frequented the restaurant 2-3 times a week for lunch. The rotisserie chicken and pork were always flavorful. The portions were always generous. The rice was cooked just how I like it and the staff always meticulously looked for the best pieces of meat to serve. The sides were always on point too. Between the plantains and the beyond flavorful chicken noodle soup, I always ended up getting something a little extra. And I have yet to mention that I was able to always keep the price below $15, sometimes even under $10. This is almost unheard of these days in NY, even for lunch. Thank you for feeding me for a year+ GC! You are already missed and I will try to be back soon!
