I cannot believe that a gorgeous rooftop would allow a guest to let their GIGANTIC dog climb all over the banquet and sit like a person. A giant golden lab crawling on the furniture is unacceptable. I hope they are going to vacuum and clean the fabric banquet in between tables. I reported this to host stand and hotel. I had a dog. This is too far. We were looking at this place for a pre-wedding gathering. Glad we stopped back by before committing. Food is fine. Shrimp tacos are good. Servers and host staff are very young. They have Brut Nature by the glass, which is nice.

The ambiance inside and on the roof is amazing. The churros were like nothing I’ve ever had. Unfortunately they ran out of horchata. The pork tacos are very tender and flavorful. Not a fan of the tortillas.

Came for my husbands birthday. Birthday card was at the table which was nice. Service was friendly the best deal for the price was the whole sea bass that came with 6 tortillas and a spicy green sauce. The ribs with pineapple chutney & the Beet salad were very delicious too. The portion size of the beet salad was worth the price. Did not get the tacos, $18 for only two tacos seemed too excessive. Desert menu seemed simple in comparison to the other food items so we skipped that and went somewhere else for dessert. Favorite cocktail was the ‘Cosecha’ beautiful stirred cocktail with lacto fermented honey, palo santo, Sherry, & reposado tequila! The non-alcoholic horchata could have been a bit sweeter or with more baking spice flavor but I still enjoyed it.

elNico is a beautiful spot with nice views, but everything else leaves a lot to be desired. The drinks are great, the small bites are good, and the ambiance is nice during the day.
The mussel huarache was shocking, especially at $24. It's a single cold huarache that tastes like a vinegary mess. The crudite, guacamole, sea bass, churros are good, but everything else felt overpriced, inauthentic, and lacked heart. Tacos should always be warm - being served 2 lukewarm tacos for $18 hurts my soul.
We had a number of complaints during our visit that I'd rather not get into to keep this brief, but I do not reccomend this restaurant to others. Our party had a fantastic time because we had great company, but it was in spite of elNico, not because of it.
Also, the bathroom lights are a really odd choice. Blasting your guests with pink light in an all white room is a terrible choice, and most of our party mentioned that it was kind of disorienting. Weird choice for a restaurant that serves alcohol on the 11th floor of a building with several balconies.

I came here for Saturday dinner reservation for a Party of 4. Immediately we were sat at our table. There were plenty of free tables around us inside and outside. Prior to our arrival, my friend had requested we sit outside to the hostess, but it seemed she had forgotten, so she went to ask her again. Our waiter came by our table and took our orders. The food & dessert menu fit in a single sided sheet. They came back again to let us know the appetizer ribs and the carnitas tacos (which we all had ordered) were out. Which I found strange it being at 6:30/7pm on a Saturday, when the restaurant wasn't really busy (from the empty seats around us). The server apologized for being out of the items, but no recommendations or substitution suggestions were given, so we all needed more time to revise our order. A few people came to run our food items to us, which made it confusing because we were unclear as to who our server was, they would all say they would relay the info to our server, which made it obvious our server was a little absent from our table. Then the hostess offered to move us outside after we place our order and had our drinks, which was nice of them. The view was a little obstructed with bushes, but nice nonetheless. We received our food and it was Ok: the guacamole was fine, I had the chicken taco (not spicy, dry and flavorless), broccolini taco (overtly spicy to the point where it almost drowns out the flavor, but definitely more savoury) and the shrimp taco (a nice in between in spice and flavour). I also received 2 slender lime wedges for 6 tacos, which I was splitting with my spouse, which I found odd, since the pictures make it seem like they give you a lime wedge per taco (as it should be). Anyway, we had our round of cocktails and food and I had no complaints with my wine. I tried my husband's second round of cocktails, a guava chimoy cocktail and it tasted like juice/punch, very sweet and no hint of the liquor used. They brought out desert (dessert churros had some parts where the dough was still raw and wet inside) and we noticed a man sitting at the table next to us had barfed, and not like a cutesy and demure barf, I mean he BARFED a 3 course meal, and it was left there for a solid 10 minutes next to our table. No one came to our table to check on us, or apologize for the mishap, or MOVE US. It seemed like all the staff disappeared after this happened and delivering our dessert and went into hiding because no one wanted to clean that amount of puke. I get it, it's gross and it's a lot of puke. But imagine being a patron, seeing and smelling it, and being served food next to it. It was so much. It was gross, and it killed our appetite and definitely killed the swanky sophisticated vibe they were going for. In all my years eating at restaurants, this has never happened, so that definitely stood out. Eventually the table couldn't stomach having our desert next to the massive amounts of vomit, so we tried to find someone, ANYONE, and asked them to please move us. They offered a booth (which was across the puke) which we declined, since that was too close to the puke, and asked to be seated inside. Inside, we finished our dessert which was now tainted by the vomit incident and ordered the bill. Once again, our table was left unattended to the point where we had to go look for a server to pay the bill, our server was gone(?) and after moving us inside, no one checked on our table again. I did notice that as they moved us inside someone with a bucket and mop and was cleaning up, but that took way too long sitting out there before the staff cleaned it up. Another point, to picture how MIA the staff was, another table of white ppl waved at me to come serve their table, because I was Latina & some of the staff were Latino and presumed I was a server, even though I was not wearing a black uniform, nor a black apron like the servers were. But then it made sense, I looked around and saw NO Latinos AS PATRONS ? The kinds of people that come here are White & assume any Latin@ mus

We went to celebrate my friend's birthday and had a dinner reservation. Unfortunately, we couldn’t even hear each other, even when yelling at each other's ears. The music is excessively loud. Even when we asked for the music to be turned down, which we were told it would be, nothing happened. We tried going outside to the balcony, but it was even louder, even though it was raining outside. After about an hour, we gave up and left. The music was loud, we could hear it from the the street!
My ears were still ringing the next morning.
Save your ears and do NOT come here!

The seabass was exceptional—highly recommend trying it! You can choose to sit either inside or outside; I enjoyed both options. The rooftop is especially nice in the summer for enjoying food and drinks. While the staff could be friendlier given the pricing, it’s still a great spot overall!

Last Saturday my husband and l had the pleasure of experiencing one of the best meals ever! From the beets salad to the fish and tacos everything was Beyond Delicious. The presentation of the dishes was very artistic, the service was outstanding and the place itself is very modern and has a beautiful green garden! So glad my husband saw them advertised on Fox5 days earlier and suggested it. We had an amazing time plus had a pleasure to meet the chef and her talented team. Well done el Nico!

From the moment you enter you will have an amazing experience. Chic vibe, attentive service & priceless views from the terrace. A must visit & definitely get the guac and chips!
The food is ok, but the service is slow and the music is super loud, even outside. Nobody wants to sit down and hear music banging so loud. It's not even a dance bar.

Great location, easy parking, (maybe I was lucky) parked right in front of the hotel. Great vibe, decor and views. Perfect for a date or night with friends. Service was great. Food was delicious but they would do well to increase the portions, as most every one else has said. My 6'2" husband inhaled his two birria tacos as they were smaller than his palm and cost $18..I too was disappointed in the 2 shrimp on each of my shrimp tacos, again $18. Would definitely return if the portions met the cost, otherwise it was a fun one time thing.
