Having lived in California with a much larger Mexican population competing for the business of Mexican food diners, I've had better and cheaper. This place, where I eat regularly, is passable on New York standards.
The food was terrible.I ordered cheese tacos and they gave me something else. I would not recemmend coming here.

Excellent authentic Mexican food! Loved their soup, rice & beans! Would recommend anyone who enjoy real Mexican food. If they have guacamole, it would be even better.

I don’t usually make reviews for restaurants but I have to today. I’m not sure if there was a change in ownership or what but lately they have been lacking is quality of the food. Today when I called in to order my food I was told of a 15 min wait time which is normal for these kinds of establishments but when I got to the restaurant to get my food I was told to wait for 5 mins and I waited and waited, till it was around 35 mins after I first placed my ordered when I asked where my food was and if it was not ready to cancel it, I was told that it was being finished as we spoke but through the glass door I can clearly see the chef rushing to actually make my order. And now that I am eating it I can clearly see that the meat was burnt and overall was lacking in what is important for food… flavor, it was incredibly bland with the taste of burnt food overpowering everything else on the cemita.
The food is no good
My spouse and I went to this restaurant twice and on the third time, the food was so flavorless. When I tell you bad, tacos are not something people mess up. We complained about it and the owner response was "oh I'm sorry" not once did she offer to make it right or to take it off the bill. She watched us disappointed, pretending not to and could have care less. Customer service is important when money is involved.
