Bell Slip Social - Eleva Brooklyn Cafe

We stumbled upon this place on our first evening in NYC - we were on the hunt for an espresso martini to help kick the jet lag after flying from UK. We were delighted to find their happy hour with it being a Friday night - $7 espresso martinis (bargain!). The place itself was decorated for Christmas and it was a lovely way to start our trip. Espresso martinis were excellently made and tasted great!

The Grinchy Mocha is the finest coffee I have had the pleasure of tasting in New York on a beautiful winter vacation I took. I was so pleased with the quality of the ingredients and the exquisite taste of the stuff, that I came back hours later for another drink. The peppermint along I’m sure with every other aspect of the coffee’s construction was and will continue to be fantastic. I love it and am happy so happy beautiful things like this specific drink and specific place exist in America. I haven’t had the food but I assume it’s good stuff as well. I highly recommend this place.

We are tourists in New York and decided to visit this café on October 26, 2024, between 9 and 10 am. This breakfast was quite important to us—my mom, my sister and I haven't seen each other in several years and have only a few days together—but unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. Despite the café having a pleasant atmosphere and being a comfortable place to sit, several issues marred our experience.

They directly asked us if we wanted to eat here or not, and we said we did, yet they still served us drinks in paper cups. The café wasn't even that busy, yet we waited a very long time for our food, and by then, our coffee had already cooled down. The coffee was a bit too bitter, and the employee who served us didn't know why their café is named the way it is (it has an interesting name). Overall , the time here was disappointing... I won't recommend it. And I regret they took our tips before serving.

This has become my go to for my morning coffee! Iced red eye always hits the spot and the place is very comfy with awesome service. Side story, My daughter fell in front of the store and the employee came running out with a bag of ice for her. That's what this place is all about.

I went in this morning, 10/13 around 9:15am. The two guys at the counter were talking. As I walked up, they stopped talking and stared at me. I greeted them and said hello. Neither said hello back or offered to help with the menu, they just continued to stare at me. I walked out and took my business next door.

My favorite place to get coffee in the city. They have everything, from cappuccino, cortado, flat white or tea lattes like Matcha. Their oatmeal cookies are so good too. They have drinks like espresso martini & even a happy hour.
