Elk Cafe is a real gem on this side of the park - the cozy atmosphere lures you in and the drinks/pastries are always incredible. From the locals who have a rapport with the staff & owners, to the bulletin at the front of the cafe that showcases neighborhood events & opportunities, Elk fosters a sense of community that can be hard to find in this day and age. Lovely staff and a great place to relax...for some reason, almost every espresso drink I've ever had for years has been poorly made. Good beans, but the milk just gets dumped in there and never takes on the cappuccino/cortado/macchiato form. Otherwise, nice cafe
