pho was so good — really great meat quality and Mint was so sweet :’) my dad said he would’ve given her 6 stars!

Food was excellent! Not the typical Vietnamese dishes I’m used to seeing in NYC. The braised salmon & braised pork belly were both AMAZING. Pickled veggies served on the side were perfect.

Terrible dining experience. The restaurant has two seating areas: Area A near the back door and Area B, which is warm and comfortable. We were seated in Area A, right by the back door, and it was freezing the entire time because cold air kept coming in. Meanwhile, Area B had plenty of open tables, and every group that arrived after us was taken straight to the warm Area B. We were left sitting alone in the cold Area A, and no one even checked on us—no one asked if we wanted water refills even once. To make it worse, the clams weren’t fresh. Honestly, I’m so frustrated, and I really regret leaving a 15% tip.

I came to Em Vietnamese Bistro on a whim, craving something warm and comforting on a cold, snowy day, and I am so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt inviting and calm. The space is relaxed and spacious, with beautifully lit lighting that creates a cozy, welcoming vibe. It is the perfect place to enjoy a hot bowl of soup.
I ordered the Bún Bò Huế Đặc Biệt after our server, Mint, shared that it was her personal favorite. When I asked her to help me choose between the spring rolls and wings, she genuinely recommended the spring rolls, and I truly appreciated her honesty. Her warmth and attentiveness made the experience even better.
The food did not disappoint. The broth was incredibly rich and flavorful, with a generous variety of meats that added depth to every bite. The spring rolls were perfectly crispy and, just as promised, absolutely delicious.
Overall, Em Vietnamese Bistro was a wonderful experience, from the ambiance to the service to the food itself. I would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comforting, high quality Vietnamese food.

I saw on GH that they have Bun Bo Hue on their menu. So I came to try it. This is so good. The broth isn’t oily like Bun Bo Hue from other places. It looks lighter but flavorful. I love it

Great lunch before a matinee at St Ann’s Warehouse. Prompt service and a pleasant environment. I went basic with pho and spring rolls but they were good. The broth had a nice flavor and the spring rolls were not greasy. I will come back.
