I am a regular customer at Empanada City and frequently visit because I enjoy the mac & cheese empanada. I have consistently supported this business, often purchasing multiple empanadas at a time. Unfortunately, after becoming a regular customer, I began experiencing rude and unpleasant behavior from the staff.
Customer service has been a major issue. The employees often come across as rude and unwelcoming. They are extremely strict about charging 30 cents for sauce, with no flexibility or appreciation for loyal customers. On one occasion, I had already paid for several empanadas and asked for a sauce, but it was denied unless I paid the extra 30 cents.
This situation has happened more than once. In one instance, I had exactly 30 cents available on my card, but because an additional 4 cents in tax was added, the transaction was declined and the sauce was still refused. There was no understanding or courtesy shown, despite my regular support of the business.
As a paying and consistent customer, this treatment is unacceptable. If a business wants to maintain a good reputation and loyal customers, it should acknowledge and appreciate the people who support it regularly. Good customer service goes a long way, and unfortunately, that has not been my experience here.

Ordered on uber eats. Not good. Ordered pastelon(1/5- all plantain, no meat and cheese was not melted), Americana (1/5 not tasty, cheese tasted like cheese wiz, expected ground beef as it’s marketed has hamburger—not chucked), spinach and ricotta (2/5, would have been okay but the spinach tasted weird not sure if it’s a canned spinach they use or what but didn’t taste fresh). The guava and cheese was the only one that was decent enough to finish

First time there and the empanadas did not disappoint!!! DELICIOUS!!! I had 1 veggie pastel and 1 shrimp with a side of their pink sauce 🤤🤤🤤.

The empanadas are a super convenient hand held size that cooked perfectly and super filled. My favorite is the shrimp. Perfection. Don't get me wrong I've tried several others there however the shrimp is the show stopper. With that said y'all do need give a little more love on sauces. We should get at least especially if I order more than two or three at a time.

Walking into this place, I was greeted with very clear branding and ambience with the amazing tunes and smell. It wasn’t crowded and pretty spacious. The service was great, I was given time to really think about what I wanted to order without feeling rushed. The icing on the cake was the BBQ chicken empanada and the cheese empanada. My daughter being 8, is picky; and even she enjoyed the deliciousness. The drink was the best non alcoholic drink I’ve ever tasted. Empanada City is giving Mamas Empanadas a run for their money.

Yum!! Perfectly seasoned, cooked to order, overstuffed goodness so it will take a few minutes. Cozy seating area if you want to enjoy, hot and fresh. The cons... they charge for sauce, you get none if you don't order it... $.30 each. I got the avocado and hot sauce, decent but nothing fancy. They have plastic cutlery, no knife, just forks. They have rice and bean dishes with your choice of protein, but if you're traveling, and you like your beans separate, they will not pack it separately. So I didn't order it. They're not very accommodating, but they were still good. I’ll be back, rates 7.5/10 This shrimp empanada is my #1 favorites.

I've been coming here for a long time and it's always been good, but this place has gone downhill recently for some reason. I got delivery from here today and received overcooked half full empanadas that were bursting open and they forgot one that I ordered (my favorite one no less). Really too bad, this place used to be great.

First time here, wanted some empanadas. I had 4 of the classics: beef, chicken, Platano & mozzarella and spinach & ricotta and they were all very good. It’s wonderful to have this spot a few blocks away from my home. I will be a frequent customer from now on.
