They should change their concept to fast-food. The food itself is excellent, but the way staff treats customers is intended for you to grab food and go. We made a reservation and upon arrival the hostess already let us know she will need the table back within 2 hours. Then the staff brings the food as soon as possible and pushes you to get the check before you have done with your main course. If you are just looking for a good and quick bite, I recommend this place. But if you are looking for a relaxed ambiance to have some drinks and food with your friends or partner, go elsewhere.
Also--before anyone says anything, we stayed there for less than 1.5 hours so it's not like we were doing a Spanish feast and holding the table for several hours. At some point it felt like the night was ruined because of the pressure from staff.

Small but fresh menu made it perfect for making decisions and also means the food SHOULD be great across the board and they did not let us down.
Calm atmosphere was perfect for intimate gatherings and a focus attention on your party.
The chips and salsa was a great way to start opening the pallet to different flavors paired with
The Amarillos aguachiles which was light, sweet, and refreshing
Tostada de atun was mouth watering, fresh, flavorful and my personal favorite of the night but a tough 2nd pick was the branzino we order which comes with a nice pineapple salsa. The fish was cooked perfectly and also so fresh.
Everything here is fresh and packed with flavor, perfect for hot summer night, light dinners, or parties with friends.

Ensenada is a true gem in South Williamsburg. The al pastor whole fish is a standout — perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, especially when paired with the fresh blue corn tortillas. The Caesar salad with grapefruit was a surprise hit, super refreshing and a great balance to the meal. Service was friendly and fast, and the place has that laid-back neighborhood vibe that makes you want to stay a while. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to.

Food is good but portions are extremely little and prices really high. We paid 22$ for 2 mini tuna tostadas and $52 for a very small branzino that barely feed one person. To leave the place without being in hunger, you need to drop over $100 per person. Service was kind but our drinks came after we already ate the tostadas. Also for those prices I’m expecting a different level of attention to the details, starting from the restrooms.

First time at Ensenada. Very charming and warm atmosphere that captures the essence of beach side Mexican cuisine. Started off with the watermelon mezcal margaritas (5/5). For dinner we had the chips and guacamole (5/5), tuna tostadas (5/5), fried pescaditos (little fish) (2/5, extremely salty) and the street tacos (fried fish), 2/5 also due to the extreme salty flavor. Both the fried fish and the tacos were battered and served with a remoulade sauce (I think both the batter and the sauce were over salted). Disappointed by these 2 dishes. Would try again but avoid anything fries until they sort out the salt situation.

I had an amazing time visiting Ensenada. While the food itself wasn’t a big hit for me, I appreciated the opportunity to explore new flavors. The service, however, was excellent; staff were super attentive and offered great suggestions on how to fully enjoy our dishes. The standout of the night was definitely the key lime pie. It was creamy, the whipped cream had a boozy kick, and the whole dessert felt indulgent in the best way. I’d absolutely try it again on my next visit.

They very graciously let me sit down and eat right before they closed and I loved everything! I got the octopus dish which was good, my personal preference would’ve been less or no potato’s, just makes the dish really starchy. The sala negra paired so well with the octopus omg! I got their chocolate moose which was great as well, it reminds me of a childhood dessert haha, drinks did take a while and it wasn’t really busy but it was probably on me for getting there late. Overall a place I enjoyed and would love to come back and try again.

If you like seafood, you will love this place. The food was packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. The aguachile is so refreshing, the tostadas are fantastic, and the whole branzino is an absolute standout. True Baja California flavors with a little bit of a twist. Great service too. So glad I found this place!

As a Mexican person, food was ok. The services at the bar were extremely slow
It wasn't worth the hype
