They should change their concept to fast-food. The food itself is excellent, but the way staff treats customers is intended for you to grab food and go. We made a reservation and upon arrival the hostess already let us know she will need the table back within 2 hours. Then the staff brings the food as soon as possible and pushes you to get the check before you have done with your main course. Ensenada is a true gem in South Williamsburg. The al pastor whole fish is a standout — perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, especially when paired with the fresh blue corn tortillas. The Caesar salad with grapefruit was a surprise hit, super refreshing and a great balance to the meal. Service was friendly and fast, and the place has that laid-back neighborhood vibe that makes you want to stay a while. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to.
