One of my favorite pizza spots in the city with the best clam slice I’ve ever had. My only critique is that they don’t reheat their slices for long enough so the pizza is pretty floppy. This feels like a semi-recent development, but is a cardinal sin at a slice shop.
Pizza is excellent. Clientele is irritating. Took a long time to cut a little slice and put it in the oven sheesh. Line was getting heated. People making pizza were cool. Many children, including me. Carroll gardens stresses me out sometimes.
I checked this place out after seeing it in The New York Times' list. The ambiance fit the neighborhood with young owners, outdoor seating, and even a backyard like eating space. The entire place was well-lit and all the pans of dough were out in plain sight.
You've got like 8-10 varieties of slices, some plain, some Sicilian. There is a hallmark $7 clam slice with lemon, but I did not try it. Maybe another day I will.
