The food was fresh and delicious. The garlic sauce they recommended was so good. The staff were attentive and friendly. They definitely have a new customer.

Nasty attitude from a woman at the register claiming to be the owner. Zero customer communication skills. Ordered schnitzel in a pita. Comes with a side salad container which by the way getting smaller and smaller while sandwich price is getting higher and higher. Asked for eggplant in the container she said no only have of container because eggplant is very expensive. No where in the restaurant is there any sign of only check products can go in the container. I told her I’m paying $25 a sandwich you not exactly giving this away for free. Just nasty attitude and over eggplant which is part of the salad bar. Went 5 blocks down and got a schnitzel somewhere else.

The place was stuffy and hot inside, and the prices were way too high — $28 for a takeout chicken shawarma. They didn’t even include napkins or utensils. The shawarma itself was dry and lacked flavor. Definitely not worth the price.

We came here for a quick bite — and left very disappointed. It was extremely hot inside with no air conditioning, only a few fans running, while it was over 86°F outside. This is definitely not a place where you can sit down and enjoy a meal during the summer.
We ordered one shawarma, a small soda, and a salad (which we didn’t even ask for, but were told it was included). Turns out, they charged us $2 for the salad anyway. Fine, we got the salad — but how were we supposed to eat it? They didn’t give us any utensils or even a single napkin. Very unprofessional.
The price was completely unjustified — $26 for a small meal. We usually get shawarma at another place that tastes much better, is less greasy, and only costs $12.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
Update in response to owner’s reply:
Thank you for your response, but I’d like to clarify a few things.
According to the receipt, I was charged $21.99 for one chicken shawarma in laffa, which already included hummus, Israeli salad, and tehina. There was no mention of a separate salad in the order, yet we were given one and told it was “included.” If that’s the case, why was it served in a separate container and without any utensils or napkins?
I was also charged $2 for a can of soda and $0.72 as a card payment fee — and no one informed us about this charge beforehand. It’s a small amount, but it feels like a hidden fee, and that’s frustrating.
In total, we paid $26.84 for one shawarma, a drink, and a salad we didn’t ask for and couldn’t even eat properly.
As for the atmosphere — we didn’t see a single air conditioner, and it honestly felt like a sauna inside. It was extremely uncomfortable to sit and eat.
I understand that kosher food tends to be more expensive, but I’ve been to other kosher restaurants in Brooklyn where the shawarma was more affordable, better quality, and the service much more professional. This experience fell far short.
I appreciate the apology, but I stand by my original review and would not recommend this place, especially in the summer when it’s hot and even the basics — like utensils and clear pricing — are neglected.

I love the food and place in general but recently I only get upset more and more. Whenever I order pickup they either forget to make my order or forget to make my order. Today I came 20 mins after ordering my old. Place wasnt busy. Food wasn’t ready. Asked for cabbage with no mayo and got mayo. Asked for Amba in the side and got none. Upsetting to say the least. Easier to learn how to make it myself or walk an extra block to get my food from another place.
Do better.

When the old owners were around this was the BEST shawarma around, reminded me of Israel. Now everything is different, the salads have no flavor, even the tehini is watered down. They made it look fancy, but took out the quality and flavor!
The heart and soul of this place is gone. They used to make magic with just that white cabbage salad, now it's saggy sour and just not right. The shawarma used to taste differently, now it's heavy and oily. Quality and attention to even the smallest dish was always top notch. Now it's just a razzle dazzle show. Sad to see it go.
