Small diner to get quick food. Service is great and prices are somewhat reasonable. We got coffee, 2 egg platters- one with beef sausage and turkey sausage with eggs and toast and the other just eggs and grits and cheese and toast. This came out to $33 and we left 7 tip.

This place is great Family environment, good food excellent service I never have any negative experience there and more than 20 years. As far for the negative reviews like most of the business people intend to charge their negative moods in others they should just move on and don’t throw your dirt on others.

Looks decent inside, but not well lit. Then it was empty, no customers during the breakfast rush?! I thought that was odd. But after I got a bill for $28 for bacon/egg/ch on roll w/omelet/homefries/bacon/toast, I see why now. The food wasn't even good or worth the price. Its just sad how greed has become the norm, but at least give me some quality tasting food for the money. I should've taken the hint about it being totally empty in there & walked out. Enter at your own risk!

Owner not a nice man. Animal cruelty will never be condoned, I for one love dogs and will not be visiting this restaurant.

given the treatment of the dogs and puppies I would never reccomend going near this place... the owner needs to know animal cruelty will never be condoned...

Donna Perry

The owner believes it is ok to allow a female dog to simply have one litter of puppies after another, continue to breed her, give the puppies to spend their lives in cages, dumped or have more puppies themselves. This restaurant owner doesn’t have money to spay the female dog… just one days tips is enough to spay the dog and end this cycle of stray puppies, Consider before you visit this restaurant and give him your hard earned money

Food is okay but the prices are ridiculous. Breakfast for one is $21 and all I got was scrambled eggs with bacon and fries with a drink.

A solid, no-frills diner in Kensington — a neighborhood DESPERATELY in need of better food and dine-in options. Faros always delivers when it comes to service and hot coffee! The menu is big but not too big and we love the options for sides, salads, sandwiches, large plates, and especially their classic diner breakfast dishes. Go for the French Toast, Smash Burger, all of their wraps, and the Gyro or Gyro platter! Don’t expect much in terms of atmosphere or ambience.

Its been 20 years since I last came here. Its changed a lot including the clientele. The service was good as well as the food. They kept forgetting the toast with our orders. I would have liked it better if it were brighter. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Love this diner! One of my favorites in Brooklyn. Great attentive staff and lots of comfort dishes for any time of the day. My go-tos for lunch are the fiesta wrap, the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich and the spinach salad. Also, they have the best corned-beef hash for breakfast/brunch. So many options to choose from on their extensive menu. Definitely one of my go-to weekend spots in NYC.

Food is good. However, they are pricey. My last time eating here I paid 20$+ for a Belgian waffle topped with strawberries, bananas and whipped cream, bacon and eggs. There was one strawberry cut into quarters. If I’m not mistaken it was 5$ additional for the fruit ( not sure if that was total or each) and an additional 2$ for the whipped cream. It was just ridiculously expensive for no reason. I’ve eaten at local diners throughout Brooklyn and my breakfast (that exact same order) was never that pricey. But you pay for what you want right… I certainly did that day. No regrets but next time I’ll appropriate my funds a tad more carefully.
