I ran across this place by accident. After chatting with the manager I decided to try the chicken sandwich, mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, and black rice. All were flavorful, and well cooked. The service was great. Definitely will be back

The only good thing we had over there is the oxtail grilled cheese and that’s why I’m giving 2 stars. The chicken was sooo dry, not flavorful, ended up in the trash, Mac and cheese was bland….
But overhall it was the attitude of the lady taking the order, disgusting…. Rude for no reason ! They were nobody behind me and I knew exactly what I wanted, but she was obviously frustrated for no apparent reason and kept asking me details about my order I had just given her….
Stay away from that place !!! The grilled cheese is good but it’s not worth the mistreatment

I love the food here. Flavorful and always satisfying. The girls on staff are great and super helpful. That said, the service at the register can feel a bit off. I know it’s a takeout-style place, but the guy at the front has come off a little unfriendly at times. A warmer vibe would be great

It's in a market downstairs from the rest of the mall, it's loud and packed not to mention pricey lol the food was good but very acidic, heavily seasoned

Keepin it real out here in Brooklyn
Solid solid Caribbean spot
We got a mix of diff dishes and all hit the spot. The spinning chicken at the bar is a nice touch, so far seems like they're very on top of their kitchen, would visit again once i save up enough

Food was great but don’t expect the Mac and cheese to be baked like in the menu pictures. I paid $24 for 2 small bowls of Mac and cheese, expecting the Mac from the pics. What I got was nothing like the pic. When I asked the staff, she said “oh that’s only for catering”.

The Oxtail Grilled Cheese is worth the trip alone! Fat Fowl is in a really cool market with a bunch of other vendors although their food stands out so make sure to stop by if you check it out.

I’ve become a frequent customer here against my will 😭. Here’s the tldr- limited menu and the chicken is nothing special, but the sides are where they really shine. Sadly all of it is overpriced for what it is.

Here’s a little more - this place really knows flavor and that shines through in their Mac and cheese, string beans with garlic, and the black rice. I come here just for those items. They pack a punch of flavor, despite seemingly simple ingredients and feel really unique.

The chicken which is their main protein option though leaves much to the imagination, it’s honestly just rotisserie chicken. Thank god they give you a sauce cause without it this would be hard to eat. Still juicy, just wish it tasted like something

Which brings to the last point. It just too expensive for what it is. Premium sides which are all the actually flavorful ones besides fries are $12 a piece. They offer fish but I’ve been quoted market price of $35+. The chicken itself is $20 for a quarter chicken with two regular sides. If you get a premium side they add $3 per side so usually this ends up being $26 for me.

For a food hall and for a lunch option, this is just not the right price point. I come here way less frequently than I would have the prices more sense. Feels weird to splurge on something served in a paper bag in a food hall,

Lastly, The service can be slow despite most of the food being batch prepared. Feels like they could manage their assembly line like chipotle and get people in and out in 5 minutes, but for some reason I’ve always had to wait at least 15-20 minutes for my food.
