I’ve been here many times just myself and brought friends. However lately service especially at night is getting worse and more unpleasant. I was just getting something to go and apparently I was waiting in the wrong spot even though that specific spot had a cash register. Instead I was supposed to pay for my to go order at the bar;) So me waiting at the cash register really upset the waiting staff and I was informed in a way that I don’t get to talk to my customers. Anyway after waiting a while I get my to go order , brought to me by the same person and I notice that my sandwich and side order box is pretty much all open. I got rid of the food unfortunately and won’t be returning here. My message to the owners/ managers when things like this happen at a neighborhood place, regardless of how pretty you make your restaurant, people will stop coming at least me.

Long been a main breakfast spot in Bushwick "Father's" has weathered the turbulent times of covid and came out the other side. Though I will says prior to 2020 I thought their menu was much more exciting they still being the heat with the whipped ricotta on rye toast and their breakfast menu. This place always has a great vibe if your into that bohemian aesthetic and at night it has a great cocktail menu.
Father Knows Best is one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood and Justin is such an amazing bartender. From the jump, we walked in right after Thanksgiving and the Christmas decorations were GIVING. The tomato soup is INSANE. Love this place, highly recommend 👌

I stumbled upon Father Knows Best during a work trip, and it ended up being one of the highlights of my time away! I spent the day working there, and it was the perfect spot—comfortable, welcoming, and with a great vibe. As the day turned into night, the place transformed into a lively bar with karaoke, adding a fun twist to what started as a workday.
The food was fantastic! The smash burger was juicy and flavorful, and the fried pickles were perfectly crispy and tangy—a great combo. The staff were super friendly and made me feel right at home.
If you’re looking for a versatile spot to work, eat, and unwind, Father Knows Best is a must-visit. It made my work trip so much more enjoyable, and I’d definitely come back!

Lovely atmosphere, the staff are very friendly (and cute!) la carte has variety and the chesse biscuit sausage sandwich with chili butter is fantastic
