This spot was super hyped up and I understand it. The sandwich was slightly above average but the rest of the place was meh. Hard to find napkins when the cheese inevitably leaked everywhere. To get anything somewhat filling you need to spend 35$ definitely serves its purpose but not somewhere I would consider going again, atleast without smoking a bunch of weed

The cheesesteak is amazing when eating it then and there.

Absolutely delicious!!!! Small space, counter seating only. Friendly staff! They were out of the pork roast sandwich but the cheesesteak sub was AMAZING! 8 inch sub is $23.00 so yes, it is a bit pricey but the sub is packed with meat and cheese so it is well worth the price. Good for 2 people to share! A must if you're in the area and a fan of Philly style cheesesteak subs!

I'll start this by saying as someone who was born in Philadelphia and raised on good cheesesteaks, most of NYC cheesesteaks are hot garbage. Stick to pizza, NYC. That said, I've lived up here for over a decade and this far and away the best cheesesteak in New York City. The meat is fresh, the bread is right (absorbs the grease without getting soggy) and thy even have Cooper Sharp American cheese, so you know they're legit. Do I wear my Phillies cap on there to butter up the owner, and have I gotten a free drink out of it once or twice? I have, and that rules. Philly people are the best. The decor on the walls is also Philly sports memorabilia, which is great in a town full of annoying Mets fans. Is it a little pricey? Maybe, but you're paying for freshness and the best cheesesteak in town. Go Birds, Go Phils, Go Fedoroff's.

Best sandwiches. Great Philly cheese and Italian! I need at least 85 characters to post this!

Update: I took away a few stars because ever since they raised the price I've been getting less cheese. Not like how the instgram post they advertised with :/ The one reason I love it was because of how cheesy it was. My fav Philly cheesesteak spot. I hope it goes back to what it was.I was really sad when I went to unpack my food to warm it up when I got home.

I decided to try out the South Philly "style" steak and roast pork. It's a small narrow takeout place with pictures of Philly's 9th Street food market as well as pics of some famous people who I guess have eaten at this location. Having been born and raised in Philadelphia, I wanted to see if this was authentic to what I have eaten for years. I ordered the 6" pork sandwich ($17.95) and the 6" cheesesteak($18.95) Pretty pricey for a sandwich that costs $10-$11 in Philly. The order was ready roughly about 10 mins. The pork sandwich was really good. It was seasoned well and the Broccoli Rabe added a new nuance to the sandwich. The bread was soft and fresh. I paid for peppers on the side, but I thought they would be included. Nevertheless, the sandwich was 10/10 for me. Next up was the cheesesteak. I originally wanted a chicken cheese steak, but that wasn't a menu option. As soon as I unwrapped it, I knew it wasn't going to be good. They had no mustard, no pickles, they don't cook the hot peppers or sweet peppers with the meat. They give out packs of ketchup and mayo instead of adding it on the roll and on top of the meat. The worst part of it for me was the cheese whiz. I don't even like cheese whiz on French fries let alone my steak sandwich. I will stick to my traditional cheesesteak in Philly that is not over-priced and underwhelming with flavor. The cheese steak gets a 0/10 for me. New Yorkers don't know the difference if they have never had a Philly cheesesteak, but those of us who grew up in the city KNOW. The steak gave me Pat's and Geno's vibes aka tourist-taste and not good, neighborhood cheesesteak. Although I have never had Broccoli Rabe as a choice addition with my pork sandwich growing up, it was a nice twist. I would stick with the pork sandwich since that's the name of the actual place and that's what they are known for. TIL we eat again.....

It's been years since I had a cheesesteak, so this place really hit the spot! The roll was chewy and soft, and there was a good amount of meat and cheese. I ended up taking it to go, but if you want to dine it, there are only counter stools facing the walls. The restaurant does have a cool vintage diner feel to it, though. I agree with the other reviews that the prices are definitely high (hence 4 stars). Ordinarily a 6 inch cheesesteak with tax would come out to ~$21. I intentionally went on a Tuesday when they had their 6inch cheesesteak lunch special for $13 since I otherwise wouldn't pay $21 for it. That said, I did notice that their lunch special was $10 less than a year ago, so prices have really come up recently. Overall, though, I'd say definitely try coming for a lunch special if you can!

Loved it! I'm from Alabama. And I love food. For some reason Federoff's appeared on my IG feed, and stayed for months. The Italian hoagie special, and it looked incredible. It just so happened we were in town visiting a friend so we had to give it a try. Outstanding! Fresh, timely, the sandwich was prepared properly. One of the food highlights of our trip. We dined in and split a large with fries, and loved every second of it. Place is small, only seating is a counter on the walls. If you are in the area, Federoff's is a must!

Roast pork is amazing and it comes with a side of jus. But the cheesesteak is probably the best in the city and will have you coming back.

The good: tasty substantial cheesesteak sandwich. Good roll, good cheese, overall an excellent. The bad: the price is obscene. I'm not sure in what world a cheesesteak is worth $27, but this one isn't. I think people have gone a little nutty with post-COVID inflation, which has basically turned into an excuse to gouge. $15 max, with extra for add-ons like extra cheese and stuff. But there's no way this is worth that kind of money.
