Fermento - espresso & vegan food

I ordered cakes and pastries for the holidays and they were delicious. Also, love their sandwiches and espresso. Definitely recommend Fermento! #Veganuary

We had brunch and we’re not only not disappointed but we’re overly satisfied. We are long term vegans and we can honestly say that the food was great!

We made a special trek here today when we decided to drive out to the Rockaways for the afternoon but saw the closest vegan restaurant was Fermento so we went out to Long Beach instead. It was 1000x worth the trip! I knew what I wanted based on other reviews on Happy Cow, the roasted maple ham and cheese sandwich on sourdough, it was delicious! Whenever I've ordered deli type sandwiches in the past I'm often disappointed but this was full of flavor and fresh ingredients. All their plant-based meats are made in house, the ham is made from chic peas and it was amazing. My vegan partner loved his sandwich too, he got the FERMENTO BAGEL (frittata with onion, potato, spinach and tomato inside topped with melted Violife mozzarella , tomato, avocado) but it was the end of the day and they were out of the everything bagel so he had it on the sourdough bread and it was still yummy! He also tried the Dandelion coffee and we were both blown away how much it tastes like actual coffee, delicious! The cafe is so cute and the owners are friendly and really care about healthy plant-based food. After we ate we got to walk off our food by walking along the boardwalk and beach. We're definitely going back again!

The food omg always yummy ?. They make it all there to. No processed vegan meats. They make it all there. The coffee is the best in town. So friendly and inviting. My favorite place in town.

We love Fermento! The food is always delicious - we love the fermento bagel, croissants and new sandwiches. And the coffee is always spot on. Their oat milk latte is rich, creamy and a perfect comforting way to start the day.

We went to Italy a couple of years ago, and I had a vegan croissant there. I said to my husband “this tastes exactly like the croissants Fermento makes” which just shows how much attention to detail they have in this restaurant.

It’s a huge plus that they’re 100% vegan and prove every day that vegan food can be even more delicious than standard food, if you give it a chance. The artistry and thought that goes into the meals and coffee here is unmatched.

Long Beach Long Island is blessed to have this wonderful quaint eatery that serves the most delicious pastries, sandwiches and creative dishes. Great coffee, lattes and cappuccino as well.
Martina and Eddie are lovely and do anything to make patrons comfortable and happy.
We have dinner there on weekends often. The Chick’n Parm is incredible as are all of the entrees chef creates. Can’t get enough of the Caesar salad either.
A must try. Will not disappoint!

Exquisite vegan food and drinks in the coziest lil atmosphere with the sweetest Italian-from-Italy chef cheffing behind the counter. I dream of the lemon poppy muffins. The (vegan) chickpea chicken Caesar wrap is on my mind at least once a day. The hand-crafted caffeinated beverages have the best nondairy froth in town. Still so smooth and creamy. Cruelty-free dining, so don’t expect cows milk and please be kind to the owners they’re the best. Also they have a fun collection of coffee table books for all ages. I love it here
