five leaves was the first restaurant i visited on my first ever trip to nyc in 2017.
ever since then coming back here has become a tradition.
8 years on and the spot is still just as warm and welcoming, albeit way more busy which is incredible to see because the place deserves to thrive. easily my fav spot in the city (i fully blame the ricotta pancakes).
i haven’t been to nyc in years but coming back here today felt like coming home in so many ways.
thank you cody for taking such great care of me and thank you everyone at five leaves for even making a tourist feel like a part of the community. 🫶 (also pls restock those tote bags, the nation needs them!!)

This place sets standards others should follow. This spot speaks to those who appreciate good meals. The restaurant deserves its good reviews. Skilled staff who gave perfect suggestions and entertained my family throughout dinner. Five Leaves has secured our family's return visits.

Breakfast at Five Leaves in Williamsburg was fantastic! Fluffy ricotta pancakes, fresh granola, and great coffee. Cozy, relaxed vibe with lots of natural light. Friendly, laid-back service. Perfect spot for a leisurely breakfast or weekend brunch.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Five Leaves never disappoints! The Moroccan Scramble was bursting with flavor—perfectly spiced, hearty, and balanced in every bite. Pairing that with their Ricotta Pancakes was absolute magic. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and indulgent, with just the right touch of sweetness—truly next level.

The vibe is classic Five Leaves: lively, stylish, and welcoming, with a menu that always manages to impress. If you’re in the area, this spot is a must for both comfort and creativity

Just sat for 8 minutes without a waiter so much as look at me. Place is half empty and a couple of waiters having chats with buddies. If they can’t get the basics of service right they def can’t get the food right. Nice location-menu did not really entice. Didn’t stick around to try the food.

arrived right in the golden sunshine hour yesterday during happy hour. popped my head in and was greeted immediately by a kind woman who plopped me at a table in the sun..oh how i love the sun!

i hovered over the happy hour menu, torn between fish and chips or falafel, when camilla???my server (if memory serves she was wearing a blue striped dress and was very kind!) came with perfect guidance. falafel it was a decision i didnt regret soooo delicious the portion was just enough to tide me over before a late dinner.

not too pricey either, so def recommend for happy hour energy and a cute little space for a solo moment. i sat, watched the world drift by, and had to scamper off when a message buzzed through, but what a tiny, lovely slice of time at this place thanks for all!

Food was decent but service here sucks. I wouldn’t return. There are so many other better restaurants in the neighborhood. The outside seating is very uncomfortable and the waiters don’t greet you.

Best pancakes in Brooklyn hands down. The burger is good too. I will always come back.

The chef understands what makes people truly enjoy eating. I genuinely liked this spot. Service at this restaurant is memorable. Really yummy and the plates are loaded. My regular choice. We're excited about coming back again.

Their brunch was decent. Overall pretty tasty although the fries too salty.

Service was ok. Could be more attentive.

The vibe was off. Very cramped and chaotic. Not a relaxing brunch. But we were seated inside. Maybe the outdoor seating is better.

In conclusion: meh

You know a place is memorable when a single dish stays with you—and the Five Leaves burger does exactly that. It’s a bold creation: grass-fed beef, a fried pineapple ring, house‑pickled beets, harissa mayo, and a sunny-side-up egg all stacked on a ciabatta bun. The combination—sweet, savory, rich, and unexpected—works in delicious harmony.

More than just the food, Five Leaves carries a distinct personality. The interior blends vintage nautical charm with urban intimacy—think cozy corners, worn textures, and a relaxed, hipster‑friendly vibe.

Fries was so good and the watermelon in the watermelon salad was very ripe.

Burgers were gigantic and hard to eat.

Service was super super slow though.

Lots of out door seating all in the shade.
