One of the best pizza đ in Brooklyn!
I would like to start by saying that everything we ordered was a 10/10. I was not disappointed with one item. We ordered the sangria, fornino spritz, arancini, tartufo e soppressata and tiramisu. This is the type of place you need to visit multiple times to try other things on the menu because itâs worth every penny. The service was also great we arrived about 30 minutes early for our reservation and were still accommodating.
We visited Fornino at Time Out Market Brooklyn at 6pm on a Thursday evening, and it ended up being one of the most disappointing stops of our trip. The entire venue had the feel of a manufactured, themed destination â very much âall fur coat and no knickers,â as weâd say in the UK. Stylish on the surface, but lacking any real soul.
Service at the Fornino counter was equally underwhelming. We waited over five minutes without a single acknowledgment from staff, despite several people clearly standing around behind the counter. When the pizza finally arrived, it was bland and forgettable â certainly not what youâd expect from a place often touted as one of Brooklynâs best.
If this is meant to showcase the cityâs pizza scene, it falls flat. We wouldnât go back, and we wouldnât recommend it.
A favorite for many years. Absolutely love this place.
I was looking for a place to have lunch with my parents and Paulie Geeâs wasnât open, so we tried here. Iâm never going to Paulie Geeâs again. I ordered the mushroom pizza, and they were happy to leave out the pungent pecorino cheese. My foodie wife enjoyed her eggplant parm, and my parents loved their margheritas. The atmosphere is charming with art deco embossed panels on the high ceiling and beautiful light fixtures made by the owner. The exposed brick gives it an early 20th century industrial feel. Our server was happy to take a picture for my family, but they went above and beyond when I had to take my crying baby out for a walk. When I returned, they had turned the music down so she could sleep. I know Paulie Geeâs is a bit of an institution, but I like the pizza, ambience, and price better here. I would highly recommend it if you like wood fired pizza.
Great quality ingredients and always consistent! Awesome crispy crust pizza and delicious salads!

Great pizza. They supplied pizza's for a wedding I attended near by. 50ish large pizza's. They were delivered in batches so it would alway be fresh and hot.
Really delicious. From plan pies to ones loaded with toppings. All fresh, no canned vegetables.. Great crust too.
The wedding guests all were raving over it. I saw multiple people talking pictures of the boxs to save the name and address.
Dietary restrictions: Vegan and Gluten free options. All where really tasty.

I knew this place, 3 years ago I visited it twice and honestly I had better experiences before. I took a smash potato for appetizer and they were great - I highly recommend it and so did my friend. I also ordered kale salad with chicken (I don't know why they were served separately) the salad tasted good, but in my opinion it had way too much dressing. My friend also ordered burrata with summer vegetables. The coffee was very good

Great wines. The vegan cheese was a worthy enough substitute.

Ambiance in the back garden where we had a dinner last Friday was everything. A true NYC neighborhood gem. The food was great, fantastic actually, we had meatballs, garlic bread, shishito peppers and three pizzas, the lombardia, margherita, and another one, white with prosciutto and truffle and everything was so tasty and flavorful and just so good. I loved it all. We had some drinks too home made sangria and the fornino spritz are both deliciously refreshing and strong enough to keep things interesting haha! Finished the night with some affogato for desert and it just hit the spot :) Most of all I wanna compliment the staff. We were waited on by two people a super cool laid back guy and after by a girl who was equally as hospitable and knowledgeable, we absolutely lover them and wanna show our appreciation this way as well. Keep up the amaZing work and stay true to the neighborhood vibes and your philosophy, we loved you and canât wait to come again!
