Amazing food, such a great addition to the neighborhood. I always sit at the bar so cannot speak to table service but the staff are always super helpful and accommodating.

This place is awesome. The decor is wonderful. The wait staff is professional and the food is outstanding. I had lunch here and ordered the grilled octopus for an appetizer and the salmon, asparagus, and mash potatoes as the entree. It is mouth watering. I can't wait to go back and try the ink pasta. This isn't new favorite place. Everything was so exciting I forgot to take pictures of my food lol. Trust you will not be disappointed. It was so good I ordered the same dish over the weekend from Uber eats. Once again it was great and there was no disappointment. You will be pleased with this authentic Italian restaurant.

Stopped in for lunch and had a Parma Panini. Was excellent and the service was as well. Great looking menu and I recommend.

The food and the service were great!! Also, the tiramisu was the best I've ever had! The next time I'm in Brooklyn, I'll be sure to be back for another great meal!!

We had the chicken meatballs and they were okay! It was chicken, maybe that's when we went wrong lol. BUT, the pasta was really good and definitely recommend it. The service was great too! I was actually satisfied! ‍ FYI, parking sucks around here so keep that in mind if you don't want to pay $20+ for parking (which we ended up doing).

I feel a bit undecided with regards to my review and rating of Forno Rosso. Unaware of its existence, we decided to place an online order for delivery. I'll keep this short and sweet but the laws of physics don't add up to what I experienced. Forno Rosso is located in Downtown Brooklyn. I live in Carroll Gardens. Placed 2 entree orders: Frank's Pasta and the 1/2 Chicken with Brussel sprouts, mushrooms and mashed potatoes. The time frame from ordering to delivering the food was 20 minutes. I ask--how can the food be prepared and delivered in such record time? When the food arrived, the pasta ($25) which was prepared with garlic and oil, shrimp and branzino was very al dente and lacking sauce (the garlic and oil). It was very dry and I was choking on it. The other main dish--Chicken with Mashed, etc. was overcooked and dry. Are their dishes prepared in advance? Maybe we picked the "wrong" meals? Is it better to dine in person? I don't know the answers but I wanted to like this place after reading the reviews and thinking that the menu looked interesting. While the flavors were good and the dishes had potential, it just fell flat. We were disappointed and underwhelmed. Might give it another chance in the future

Stay away if you want pizza. Pizza had cheap cheese. Very low quality pizza. Not worth it at all. Deli pizza is better quality. Pizza cheese is not real or fresh. Not sure if I want to try anything else. Very bad experience with low quality pizza. There are much better pizza places that offer much higher quality and is also cheaper. This place is a ripoff.

We love Forno Rosso! The food is great, the service is awesome, and it has a great atmosphere. It’s a short walk from where we live so it’s often a go-to. We always bring out of town guests here as well. I get the bolognese and it’s spectacular and a great portion. My husband gets the calzone and it’s huge! They also have a great selection of wine and beer!

Can’t tell you what their food is like. We walked out because none of the staff was masked at the height of a surge in the virus. When we asked they flippantly said it was fine because everyone was vaccinated. That’s their prerogative. But when dining with kids, our choice was to not support a business that doesn’t take every precaution to keep their customers and themselves safe. We were all masked and care just as much about impacting others as being needlessly exposed.

Cozy place off the beaten path in downtown Brooklyn. Delicious wood fired pizza's - great taste and crust. The Kale Caesar salad was a nice size and delicious. And the Pasta Bolognese was outstanding! The service was also excellent....Nice atmosphere - Stayed at the nearby Hotel - so a very short walk - Would recommend for sure.

I ordered delivery through UberEats, which was pretty efficient. I had the Cozze Con Salsa Marinara (fancy way of saying mussels in marinara sauce) and the Tartufata pizza w/ garlic. Both dishes were delectable! The pizza was on the super thin side, but the flavor was on point!

Overall, I wasn't impressed. I started with the calamari that was a bit chewy and undercooked. I also ordered the short ribs since they were so highly reviewed, but they were average to me. It came with mashed potatoes and everything could have used some salt. It was all one note and not very flavorful.

I liked the pasta, the place was nice and comfy. One friend recommended this place and I am glad she did.The only thing I didn’t like is that I asked for a Diet Coke and it was not carbonated at all.I will come back.

My friend and I stopped in for lunch yesterday after reading mostly favorable reviews. We enjoyed a create your own pizza and it was delicious. I especially liked the savory slices of fresh garlic atop the pie. Our waiter Vincent could not have been more friendly, personable and hospitable. I would welcome the opportunity to come back again when in the area.
