It is excellent was inside and historic
Awesome Historic indoor/outdoor reception venue comparable or even superior to many other Historic NYC venues for a slice of what the others might cost. That’s about where the good stuff ends though because unless you have the juice you are going to be @0%# Blocked every step of the way by retired service personnel who still need a paycheck. Your inquiries appear to be beneath them. It’s run as “Their Thing” to borrow a phrase and not a business. They seem to go the extra mile to make sure you don’t book a function here and smile while doing it and I don’t mean smile at you. MWR looks like a PERFECT target for DOGE. Either make it work or shut it down, why spend money on something that doesn’t contribute to the Morale, Welfare, and Relaxation of the US Military Families.

Very nice place.Nice pool and staff.
We ordered fast food from the Foxhole, a small restaurant by their pool. Hot dogs were very good as were the burgers & fries.
1. lawn was high and several holes at the site of the wedding,
2. no signs or personal available when you enter,
3. inexperienced staff,
4. manager does not speak clear English,
5. food not cooked,
6. limited parking
Overall background of the Verazano bridge and waterview was nice.
This place was where we got married.
We decided to take in the Sunday brunch ($25pp) all you can eat. The selections were plentiful and temperature appropriate. Good service by the very attentive staff. The facilities are well maintained.
Nice facility and great staff
Very clean

Great historical place and a great place to honor the veterans
We usually just go to the pool... So, the 4 stars is just for the pool experience... Not sure about the rest of the club.Pool is stellar! Huge pool, usually good crowd. People are great to chat with.2 major concerns though (these are the reasons for the 4 stars, as opposed to 5 stars)... First, during the weekend lap swimming... Not enough lanes roped off. They definitely need more than 2 lanes during lap swimming. Second... The bathrooms/changing rooms are Disgusting. There is no other word to use to describe them. Dirty, smelly, doors don't lock in the stalls. We've gotten to the point where we just use the bathrooms if the kids really need to go... But wear our wet swimming gear home in the car. It's that bad.
Unfortunately, it's been extremely hard for me to get in contact with the staff here. I've left numerous messages and been told I would get a return call for pool party Information. Different information from different staff members. If the day isn't available i could of been told, so I could of secured another location for my daughters party..
