Food is consistently great, but the staff seems to be short/apathetic with customers in a way that I haven’t seen at another shop in the area. Guy at the cheese counter is cool though!
Every city needs a grocery store like this.
The selection is honestly the best I’ve ever seen and I say that as a bit of a boutique grocery snob. You can tell they actually care about food. Not trends. Not marketing. Food.
If you go, get the Peruvian peppers. Unreal. The ground lamb is incredible too. And I genuinely appreciate that they carry liver.
The cheese selection is obviously next level. The chocolate milk has no gums or weird additives. Even the sodas are clean with very minimal ingredients.
I’ve tried the sandwiches and liked them, but I’m consistently more impressed by the grocery selection itself. It’s rare to walk into a store and feel like the buyers actually have taste.
I will happily give this place all my money because more stores like this need to exist.
My favorite shop in Bushwick. From fresh steak, and meats, charcuterie + breakfast & Lunch. Thank you for all you do. Highly recommended
Has the best charcuterie section
Top tier breakfast burrito! Peppers, home fries, chorizo, cheddar and Oaxaca. Limited seating. In good weather it would be great to get to go and sit in the park near by.
One of the best gluten free sandwiches I’ve found in BK — highly recommend the turkey club and chicken salad sammy on GF bread. Foster Sundry is a neighborhood favorite of ours.
i love ❤️❤️❤️❤️ that they have an espresso tonic year round (the club sandwich is also insane)
I’m a regular here. I like their selection of novelties and higher quality products. This is also my fall back when I can’t make it to Trader Joe’s as it’s the only market I trust for fresh meat. Their breakfast sandwiches have been a hit or miss. I do wish they were a bit more consistent on carrying some items. I used to manage a very popular, fast-paced deli and there are a lot of small changes they could make that would go a long way so managerial me sometimes wants to pick up the reins and get behind their counter. That being said, their selection does add so much value for me - particularly some of the higher quality middle eastern goodies they sell.
The burger at foster sundry w bacon is literally the best burger in NYC. This is not hype. It’s 15 bucks, it’s so delicious and literally beats ANY burger I have had in the city. I made a review bc I’m in post consumption clarity and need to share.
Food is ok but not really worth the price. In particular, biscuits are dry and not that buttery (Popeyes has better biscuits and those are like the minimum quality for a biscuit, by nowhere means good). The meat and eggs and other stuff are fine but nothing special.
It seems like you’re paying more for the aesthetic than the quality of food.

This sandwich spot and cafe is a popular spot in Bushwick for your morning coffee run or a quick bite! The inside doesn't have much seating (only window seating), but they have seating on the outside. On top of being a sandwich spot, they are also a deli and sell a variety of supermarket goods.
I got their breakfast burrito and turkey club. Both sandwiches were pretty solid, and good for the morning. Service was nice but it took about 20 minutes for our sandwiches to be done, which I felt was a bit long. Would be a great spot to hang out with friends on a sunny day!
My go to place for so many things. Gifts, special ingredients for making dinner, the sandos and coffee, even dog treats.
The quality and variety of meats at Foster Sundry are outstanding — it’s easily one of the top butcher shops in the Bushwick area.
Hands down best butcher ship in NYC
I can’t fault the coffee or sandwiches but the staff really need to try and be a little friendlier.
