The quality and variety of meats at Foster Sundry are outstanding — it’s easily one of the top butcher shops in the Bushwick area.

Hands down best butcher ship in NYC

I can’t fault the coffee or sandwiches but the staff really need to try and be a little friendlier.

Three or four star butcher shop/deli but five star sandwich shop. Their sandwiches are reasonably priced and incredibly tasty especially the burger and anything they have with bacon in it.

I am forgiving a lot by giving them five stars but they seriously have one of the best burgers in NYC at any price point but especially for 15 bucks. The meat is super high quality, well seasoned and has tons of cheese. The size is impressive for the price too, it's a meaty smash burger that puts 7th Street to shame.

Not every sandwich on the menu is a knockout, the roast beef has like no meat on it for some reason but their bacon is incredible and the breakfast sandwiches like the green eggs are solid. Love the BLT with heirloom tomatoes when it's in season.

Now for the bad, the tips at the register are crazy, like 18% is the lowest tip suggestion and you get hit up for a tip for every order even charcuterie, meat, or grocery items. I gotta push back on this, it always annoys me when counter service places try to squeeze tips out of customers.

Their charcuterie is not the best and very expensive. I haven't been blown away by anything. The selection isn't great, and most things are not worth the price. Their Iberico Chorizo is solid but a lot of their charcuterie are not that interesting or curated in any way. Just a hodge podge of overpriced meats. I assume many of them are local because there would be no other reason to carry them.

A lot of the stuff they carry in the store part of the business is not worth the prices they charge but as a sandwich spot they are five stars all day. Also, be warned that the sandwiches take forever to make especially on the weekends.

Great to visit the old Neighborhood spoke with ladies behind the counter as I remember the good old days I had living here in 1980's we talked about how it was a Italian neighborhood and how we where the first Puerto Ricans on Troutman Ave.... how 3 doors down one of the most legendary Mob hits occured in the Pizzeria as 15 min before I bought a slice for 50 cents and they went in and assasinated Carmine Galante in. How the 99 cent store on the corner was actually a old meat processing plant. How things have changed but Great cup of coffee and memories....Thank you ..

ordered a tuna melt here and it tastes like it was made 3 days ago. soggy bread, melted cheese that had gone cold. went straight in the garbage. disappointing 1st experience 👎

I usually go here to get my dog femur bones with bone marrow for him to chew on which he loves. But I needed to have breakfast one morning and I figured what the heck. I had the most amazing breakfast burrito. I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing it was with some hot sauce on it which they included. Highly recommend.

Once you shop in this store's meat department I assure you won't buy your meat from anywhere else 🔥

Incredible cheese selection, fresh produce, butcher, and sandwiches. I’m leaving this review at 4 stars though because every time I’ve ever gotten a latte or matcha here they put such a ridiculous amount of milk in. Like it feels like the drinks are 99.9% milk that clearly drowns out the flavor of the nice coffee they have. I’ve been here a bunch of times and it’s always an issue.

I was just taking a walk in the nearby park when I happened to step into this charming little spot.
It felt like I had been suddenly transported to a quirky shop in the Catskills — cozy, clean, and full of character.
The store was beautifully organized, overflowing with a variety of fresh groceries and little delights.
I tried a sandwich today, and it was incredibly fresh and flavorful — you could really taste the quality.
Such a lovely surprise on an ordinary day. I’ll definitely be coming back.

The shelves are stocked with a lot of impressive regional/artisanal products that I've never seen before. Some might seem pricey but I think if I were to acquire them myself I'd have to deal with intense shipping costs. With a little research and a focused shopping list, this place might be one of my go-tos for cool ingredients! (I wish they stocked mirin though) I had their Porchettaboutit, which was crunchy and juicy, picked up a sourdough loaf and had a cheese pairing recommended to me, and also got a dark chocolate bar for a birthday gift. Come peruse! Really cool spot.

i come here every so often because its two blocks from where i live. i've been into the clean/local farm to table lifestyle for ten years. im consistently disappointed by the sandwiches, matcha, and meats offered.

everythings double the price it should be. it's really not worth it to pay $11 for four strips of bacon or half a chicken carcass (for stock)

the casing of the sausages and the flavor combos don't work for me. i must've tried 10 of their different sausages by now.

among my friend group, we understand that this place gives an unwelcoming, lowkey racist vibe. just come ready to be treated kinda weirdly and dismissively if youre not white. there's a coldness and a pretentious air to this place (though i will say its gotten better recently).

Might be the best establishment in the entire area. My go-to butcher with fresh selection of seasonal produce and other high quality goods

I love the breakfast burrito with oyster mushroom! I also love the fresh produce, salsa, soup, pickled red onions, olives, chili crisp, coffee, etc. such a great selection :)
