Recently checked into Four & Twenty Blackbirds for a hot americano on a rainy cold day. The americano was great and the barista was so quick and attentive! I sat inside for a bit to read while I drank my americano and though there isn't a lot of seating inside, there was still space to sit for a bit. The bakery/cafe is a cute spot tucked away from the Main Street but definitely a hidden gem. Many people came in looking to order the amazing pies. They had some really cool flavors that I'm looking forward to trying next time I stop by!

After hearing Boby Flay praise the pies from Four & Twenty Blackbirds, we decided to give it a try. We went to the Pie Counter and Bar on Dean Street. We chose the Peaconut and the Salted Caramel Apple pies. Both were delicious! The Peaconut was very unusual. Creamy texture with rich multi flavours and crunch from the peanuts. The Apple Pie was (as was described by Boby Flay) exemplary of what an apple pie should be. The homemade caramel sauce made the apple filling the star of this pie. We paired the pies with delicious cups of freshly brewed coffee. Will go back again for more. Thank you, Melissa and Emily, for bringing your amazing pies to NYC.

I was really looking forward to trying the honey salted pie, as part of their Pie day promo, after reading so many great reviews about it online. Sadly, I only had a bite of this pie as I found it was overly sweet. However, I'm not someone who eats sweets often so it could be just an individual preference. The atmosphere and staff were both friendly and welcoming. Street parking can be a bit tricky here but there is a parking garage across the street.

We have been getting pies, whole and slices, from here for years. The best thing about 4&20 is THEE CRUST! Housemade, flaky, with just the right chew, especially when the juices or custard permeates the pores, as it bakes. Interestingly enough, one of our favorites is the Salted Caramel Apple Pie. It is a meal within itself. It is loaded with chunky, yet thin slices of apples and rivers of salted caramel flow through each layer. Baked, the pie gives an aerated layer of anticipation. We also get the custard Honey Salt and Peanut Chocolate. They do change with seasons or holidays so always check. These are their standards though. For events, it is best to order well in advance. They do have whole pies available but OFTEN sell out! Service is swift, efficient and friendly. Parking can suck but it's Brooklyn so...double park and quickly grab your pie to go.

The lady working Sun Dec 11 clearly does not know good customer service. We asked for a thermus of coffee for an event. We were willing to pay anything to help out the non-profit. She said “We don’t do that”. We walked two blocks in the rain and found a place that understand customer service. Walk two blocks to Caffe De Martini and you will have a great customer experience!

I've never eaten here just picked up pies here that I've ordered. These are my favorite pies in all of NYC. You can't go wrong.

Yeah, I haven't been a dessert guy for some time but around the holidays, it's a blessing to partake. As with sweets, preferably baked ones, I am VERY particular. So, when I was introduced to this company I was skeptical but the flavor that I chose, it was definitely all that and then some.Looking forward to whatever future flavors and pairings that this company has in store because trust, it is worth the trip!*Here's a quick pro tip to enhance this pie. Place in a LI air fryer for maybe 2-3min or so. This not only heats up the filling but it also gives the crust a nice crunch. I pairs mine with a hazelnut iced coffee w/ almond milk. A cheat day breakfast of champions.

If you haven't yet tried their apple salted caramel pie you must, it is the best you will ever have. So when in town you must go there.

I dont like pie but I like the ones they make here. The pies are unique and they did such a great job with the flavors. I've tried the honey, matcha and black bottom and they were all delicious! Ok, honey was too sweet for me but my friend loved it. Come earlier in the day because they sell out of flavors by end of day. If you're a pie lover then you def have to try this place!

There’s a new-ish barista that is horrible and rude. Just stares at you to order, doesn’t say a word, doesn’t turn around the payment screen so you can actually see what you’re paying. She literally just pointed to the board for pricing instead of the usual approach to turn around the touch screen to show your total, add tip, signature, etc. literally hates being there and anyone that comes in is a disruption to her doing nothing all day

This is an outpost of this very popular pie place. Their pies are seasonal and not everything is available daily so I would give them a call if you're looking for a specific slice or full pie. Personally, I have no complaints about the person working there unlike some of the other people reviewing. I found him friendly. Anyway, I was here prior to one of my other meetups so I only tried one slice. As I wanted something lighter and more tart, I had their lemon chess. It was nice and tart with some richness and the crust was rich and tasty also. I probably would have had the hojicha or matcha but they were only available as full pies unfortunately. Reasonable price for tasty pie. Low 4.

Saw this place on a run one day and decided to come back to check it out. The pies were excellent. We got one of the vegetable hand pies and it was full of seasonal veggies like butternut squash and was just perfect for fall. We also had a slice of the lemon chess pie. As others have noted, all their pies are very rich and indulgent so I couldn't eat more than half the slice I shared but it was made very well. Loved the decorative crust and thought the lemon filling was a really good consistency -- not too runny but not too solid. One thing I'd love to see is more outdoor seating in the future. Would love to hang out here with some friends. There's some limited bar seating inside but it was unclear if it was open since the barista was sitting there that day. Outside there is a bench and one table. So heads up, may be tougher with a larger group.Ambiance -- eclectic and cute. I liked the funky art in there. Great neighborhood spot. Good for grab and go. Love that they have drinks as well as pie. Would love to come by here again and try their other flavors.

Ordered a pie for pickup on July 1st, and they did not have it available despite us paying for and placing the order online. Barista that afternoon said that that they have had a mixup with the pie inventory since this morning, and that this happened to previous customers that day before us too.Very disappointing experience that the staff did not address this proactively by fixing inventory or contacting customers with solutions. The barista only suggested 1) going to their different location to get the pie and 2) emailing support to get a refund.
