Very tender pastrami but a little too aromatic for my taste. Great pickles and the chocolate babka is awesome.

$18.45 for a small and too salty lox bagel. Felt like I was paying for the decor.
Raised prices by over 17% 🤨

Great service and atmosphere but food is mediocre. On par with high school cafeteria breakfast. $10+ BEC consisted of powdered eggs, a ton of nacho cheese and thin slices of bacon. Bagels were ok but not fluffy at all. Past reviews are likely inflated from tourists - if you're a local, my opinion is to avoid.

Frankel’s Fifty Dollar Flop for Two™️
Hot pastrami and a classic salmon nova lox bagel sandwich… both severely devoid of flavor. The design and customer experience inside the store was delicious I just wish the food matched. Love the tote bag and all of the merch available here.
Regrettably we had to go home to season and spice up the food so it had some semblance of flavor. Not writing them off completely, but the price tag and reviews made me expect more from this prime location.

Bagel sandwiches are wildly overpriced and nothing special. Can get a better bagel from corner deli for 1/3 the price.
The pastrami is on the leaner and brineier side but is still so delicious. I would say the bagel with salmon is the next best thing after the pastrami, where you an really taste the flavors of the salmon without the salt and smokieness overpowering the tastes of the bagel and cream cheese. The place is welcoming with a vibrant interior, making it feel like an old deli. The staff is very friendly and asks questions about your order to make sure its to your liking. Overall the place is real good but the price is a little steep for the amount of food that you get.
I don't know which came first, the Tik Tok calling this place the best bagel in NYC or the swarms of young and hot fashionable people flocking to try it out. This place is like if Aimé Leon Dore decided to do a deli pop-up and sell cream-cheese bagels for $16 a pop. This place is NOT a diner, it's Meow Wolf for young people who love saying yeah I'm from BROOKLYN whenever they go back home to Wisconsin. $40 for a travel mug by the way check the picture if you don't believe me.
I know what you're thinking: HATER ALERT. Whatever. Go and buy an overpriced shirt or tote bag and wear it at your next anti-capitalism protest.
Oh yeah the bagel was delicious but definitely not worth SIX TEEN dollars I don't care how cute the vibe is.
