We love Frankies. They are like family. The food is excellent and the service is even better.
We had the best time -- this is hands down one of our favorite restaurants. Nick was our server and he was great.
We had read that they had really good Italian food and had never been to the neighborhood. So we went try it. I got the white bean and escarole soup. It was nice and hot but had limited flavor even with cheese and added pepper. My husband and I both got the cavatelli pasta. I got mine with sausage and he got the meatballs. The meatballs were really good! But both pastas were very pasty and not flavorful. My sausage was not Italian sausage. Disappointed overall. Expected more of an environment
Great food, charming staff. The place reminded me of how excellent the food is in Brooklyn. A little chilly by the window, but easily remedied
I came to have the pasta with spicy sausage & it was DIVINE!y date had lamb ragout pasta-equally yummy!
As much as I hate to say it, the food is really bland. Everything. There have been so many incredible Italian restaurants opening over the last decade and Frankie's is resting on its laurels. The oapardelle was more of a watery tomato soup without any flavor. Meatballs were ok. Salads were meh. The only thing good was the ricotta crostini, but that's nearly impossible to mess up.
Had a team dinner at Frankie's last night, dragging a bunch of out-of-towners into my beloved Carroll Gardens. They were blown away by the stables, the food - we had antipasto, crostini - oh, the liver - , burrata, escarole, multiple pastas. Everything was spectacular. Our server was professional, informed, friendly. It was one of the best team meals we've ever had. Thank you.
Our Saturday lunch was simply sublime. Attentive team service and an open kitchen that allowed us to sense when the butter hit the pan to finish our pasta, which hit our table less than 5 seconds later, and which was such a magnificent thrill! In-house mozzarella, sausage, and cavatelli as good as any we've ever had in Italy. Grazie mille, tutti!
Loved Frankies Spuntino. The food, ambiance and staff were all fabulous. It's just such a classic you must try!
Very charming! There was a wedding in the atrium and we were right by the window. It was so beautiful! Couldn't have been better. Our first time here, and it won't be the last. It's just so darn awesome!

As always, our visit was magic! Thank you for celebrating our anniversary—and for the amazing experience! Frankie's Spuntino is pure bliss!! ♥️
Great place. Loved the food and the service. Our waiter was wonderful. If you're in New York you should eat here.
Such a wonderful and special restaurant. Returned for the first time in a long time, and the meal and experience never disappoints!
Frankie's 457 Sputino was exceptional and absolutely delivered. The whole vibe was laid-back but thoughtful, and the service was incredibly friendly and attentive, just the right amount of check-ins without hovering. We started with the mozzarella plate, which came with three different kinds—all super fresh and each with their own flavor. The sweet potato ravioli in a parmesan broth was unique and comforting, and I can't stop thinking about the meatballs with raisins and pine nuts—seriously, that sauce was something special. My girlfriend had the eggplant Parmesan and loved it, tender, thinly sliced, light cheese, not greasy, in a sweet sauce and really well done. I also had the lentils, served more like a soup, and it was simple, hearty, and just right. The Frankie's Iced Tea (their twist on a Long Island) was smooth and sneakily strong, one of the best cocktails I've had in a while. And even the bread stood out, fresh, crusty, and worth mentioning on its own. For dessert, the tiramisu was light and just sweet enough—not overdone. We also had these marinated dates with mascarpone that were rich and unexpected in the best way. Honestly, everything we tried hit the mark. The food, the atmosphere, the service—it all just worked. We'll definitely be back.
We have been coming to Frankie's for years. Nothing has changed, thank God. Everything is very good, very welcoming, very satisfying.
