Food was expensive and OK, not great. Wine list was pricey and out of line with the overall presentation.

Very solid Italian spot with an in house som to help you navigate their wine list. Pastas were fresh, fairly simple, yet well executed. The linguine with clams comes with plenty of fresh bread to soak up all the delicious broth. The star of our dinner were the desserts though. Both the chocolate cake and off menu tiramisu were so light, it felt like eating a silky cloud. So much flavor packed in as well. Had a great night and would definitely recommend.

Visited the beautiful bar with my husband for a few drinks and the cocktails were expertly crafted by Tony. He's so knowledgeable and manages an amazingly stocked bar - we were pleasantly surprised to see a bottle of La Vieille Prune there, since it comes from a very small town in France! Highly recommend!

My family had an impromptu large gathering and needed somewhere to eat. My cousin recommended this place as one of their favorites and we called to see if they could accommodate us. By the time we got there our party grew somehow and they said they could seat us outside which was no problem. They then came back to us and said they could open up the side room for our party. How amazing! The food...everything was beyond incredible. The flavors and the quality were unmatched. Even the simple burger was the juiciest best burger I think I've ever eaten in my life. Whenever I'm back in Brooklyn I will definitely come back.

This place seems to be undergoing an identity crisis. The menu -- and concept -- changes every couple of months, and the inconsistency is not helping this restaurant find its footing. A pasta focussed, high-end red sauce Italian has morphed into... a little bit of everything? Smash burgers, pasta, a little of this, a little of that. Last night I had dinner here and I ordered the "dirty" Caesar salad (good, if overdressed -- is that what they mean by dirty?) and an unpleasantly game-y tasting "smash burger" that was really two relatively thick patties lacking all the crispy bits that make smash burger so good. A friend tried the spaghetti with clams -- which had a nice lemony kick but was extremely soupy. It was odd, if still really tasty. This place is right down the street from where I live, I want to love it, I want it to be a my neighborhood spot -- and I want a respite from the same-same menu at Frankie's (owned by the same folks). Let's hope 2024 brings a more cohesive, carefully thought out concept for Frank's.

Where Every Sip Sets the Tone for ExcellenceFrank's Wine Bar is an establishment that masterfully combines exceptional wines with top-tier service, creating an atmosphere that's both inviting and exquisite. My experiences here have been limited to indulging in their wine selection, but each visit leaves me eagerly anticipating the next, including a foray into their dining offerings. The wine selection is nothing short of exceptional. Each glass is a discovery of flavors and aromas, carefully curated to please the palate. But what truly elevates the experience at Frank's is the service. The staff have a way of making you feel not just welcomed, but truly special. On a recent visit, we had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners' wives. Her charm and kindness were reflective of the overall ethos of Frank's -- a place where warmth and quality go hand in hand. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between sophisticated and cozy, making it an ideal spot to unwind and savor the moment.Frank's Wine Bar doesn't just serve drinks; it crafts experiences. It's the kind of place that sets the stage for a wonderful evening, leaving you in a better mood than when you arrived. I'm already looking forward to my next visit, not just for the wine, but to dive into their culinary delights as well.

This place used to have a great menu and the staff was awesome. Unfortunately it has gone down hill. I’ve been countless times and am really upset with the products and people.

Franks has great pizza, great service, and a nice vibe to it. Wine selection is awesome and it's great for a group or last min walk in.

Always a pleasure. The menu is small and packs a punch. The Olio Martini is unmatched.

Good food. Very limited menu. On the pricey side!! I ordered the filet mignon and was expecting to see at least some veggies and potatoes with it. So I’m still trying to get over the fact that the dish came with just the meat with some sauces… that’s it! Not even onions. On the brightest side, the filet mignon was cooked to perfection, just as ordered: medium rare!

Franks Wine Bar is SO lovely, I recently attended a wedding reception here and the whole experience was so incredible!! The whole team took amazing care of our group for the event. Each staff member was so attentive + kind - special s/o to Will & Noah (I hope I'm recalling their names correctly) for doing a great job behind the bar!! :-) The food was amazing (the branzino alone was unreal), and the atmosphere was SO beautiful. I highly recommend this spot if you're contemplating hosting an event or gathering here - but, I also recommend this place if you're just looking for a nice spot in Brooklyn to dine!!

We visited a year ago and raved to everyone about the gorgeous food and wine on offer here...Unfortunately we visited tonight and found a totally different and much-shrunken menu. It felt confused and at odds with the restaurant's reputation as a sister pasta restaurant, with no clear theme to the menu. We also found it incredibly overpriced for what we got... Linguine and clams where I had to dissect the breadcrumbs for any evidence of clam was so off-putting.Service was good but inconsistent (we had 5 staff members helping us but didn't receive the wine list we had asked for at any point). It's a miss for us unfortunately, so disappointed as we loved this place before and had been looking forward to returning.

I love Frankie's 457. I love F&F Pizzeria. I loved the Frankie's location that used to be on the Lower East Side (actually the first restaurant from them I dined at). I loved Prime Meats when it was in this location. And I love Franks Wine Bar. Especially since this dim, cozy spot is much easier to get a reservation than the spot next door. It's not perfect. The servers and bartenders and hosts are always cool, but can be absent (especially if you're seated in the back). The portion sizes are occasionally entirely too small for the price point. And they always give me exactly as much alcohol as I order, which occasionally results in my being deeply hungover (I guess that last part is on me). But the food is SO. DAMN. GOOD. They recently pared the menu down, but I don't mind.* Just about every good double album could be a better single album anyway. And there currently isn't a single item on there I wouldn't eat. Things I particularly love right now: The sungold tomatoes and stracciatella on crostini. The wedge salad. The filet mignon au poivre. And the house sausage pinwheel. It may be a bit pricier than you want an Italian dinner to be, but you're going to eat well for sure.
