Brunch here was fantastic. I went with a group of seven friends and every single person loved what they ordered, which says a lot for a big table. One thing that immediately stood out was the tea. They actually brew it from loose leaves instead of bags, which already sets the tone for how much care they put into everything. I ordered the matcha martini, which was delicious and really well balanced. For my main, I got the trout po’ boy and I genuinely still think about it. The fish was unbelievably buttery and soft, and it was topped with a bright, acidic salad that cut through the richness perfectly. All of that was served on the freshest, crispiest bread, which made the whole sandwich next level. We also shared the pecan pie French toast for the table, and it was the perfect brunch dessert, sweet, rich, and great for sharing. The service was amazing as well. They handled a large group smoothly, were attentive without hovering, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Between the thoughtful drinks, incredible food, and great service, this is easily a spot I’d come back to.

Amazing service from start to finish. The team was attentive, welcoming, and made the whole experience feel enjoyable.
The food was excellent. Ordering the steak is an easy decision here. It was perfectly prepared, and the homemade steak sauce truly elevated the dish. The sauce added a rich, balanced flavor that made the meal even more memorable.
We also tried the mussels and the beef tartare, and both were very well done. Fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared.
The atmosphere is another highlight. The vibe feels warm and stylish, making it a great spot for a date night or a small gathering with friends. It has that comfortable yet slightly upscale feel that works well for special evenings.
Overall, it is a wonderful dining experience.🫶🏻 The steak and that homemade sauce alone are worth coming back for. Highly highly recommend this place for anyone planning a date or a relaxed night out. 🍷🥩✨

My wife and I took our son out to dinner Wednesday night at French Louie—his recommendation—and we had a wonderful evening. Our server, Jason, was fantastic. He patiently answered all of our questions while we decided what to order and was attentive throughout the meal, regularly checking in to make sure everything was perfect. Even as the restaurant quickly filled up, we never once felt rushed or pressured.
The steak frites and the moules were absolutely divine. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

Excellent casual French. Celebrity sightings while there too! Great spot to eat before Barclays center - it’s walking distance.

Had high expectations; felt the food is decent. Reasonably busy during a weekday lunch, with seats available.
Steak tartare - quite good. Liked the packed tartare and loose yolk combination. Could do with a tiny bit more salt. Baguette was quite hard.
Burger - liked the skinny fries though they are a tiny bit on the mushy side. Burger patty is decent but I’ve had better.
Service is okay. Portions are also good for the price.

Incredible!!! The lentil soup was amazing and the French fries are almost better than in France. A must when you are in Brooklyn. Thank you!
The madame croque was the best sandwich I’ve ever had.

We had a special birthday dinner with our adult children and their spouses. We were celebrating a 75th and 40 th birthday. The food was excellent from the starters through dessert. The service was top rate, helpful, efficient, friendly and professional. The ambience was also very good. The staff even arranged to have lit birthday candles in our dessert. We all had a lovely time. Merci, French Louie!

This ambience of this restaurant is nice, but the food was just OK. Service was not good. My waitress was very cold and unhelpful when I ordered and she took my order exactly as I had given it to her. Upon changing my mind a few minutes later and asking her to update something we had ordered, only then did she give me feedback on what I had ordered and suggested a change. Had I not checked back in with her, she wouldn't have said anything. Throughout the rest of the night she was really cold and not very helpful.
The tables are really small and when another person came to bring us our food, he just left us to figure out how to puzzle all the plates together. I picked up some plates so he could put the entree on the table, and he left me just holding the additional plates to figure out how it would all fit.
The food was OK, the steak was the best of what I got. The escargot itself was fine but the side it came with was not good.
I would say this place is cute but definitely not worth what you pay for. Wouldn't go back.

Had a spontaneous date night here and it turned out to be the perfect spot. The food was great and I especially appreciated the portions considering the affordable price point. The highlight for me were the fried artichokes, they were so delicious and memorable and so was the salad verte!
