I fell outside while crossing the street in front of the store last week and cracked one of my ribs. I went to this restaurant to see if they had footage of the fall and the cashier, who spoke English, acknowledged what I was saying and then proceeded to ignore me for 10 minutes. When I spoke up, she nodded, then ignored me again. Very rude behavior and no empathy at all.

1. Even though they sell 3 dishes+1 soup,
but by around 12:30 most of the dishes are GONE (SOLD-OUT),
& by around 1 pm only 2 or 3 dishes are left.

2. So if you walk to front & order duck over rice,
the CHEF will grab SEPARATE pieces from the TRAY,
& you will get mostly BONES.
If you order roast pork over rice,
he will pick SCRAPS from the TRAY,
& you get mostly FATTY PORK.

3. Always see the CHEFs SMOKING
in front of the store.

4. Most of the WOMEN working here are NICE & COURTEOUS,
better than other bakeries around here.

On February 12, 2025, I visited this restaurant with my sister for breakfast. It appears that the restaurant only offers take-out, as there were no tables or seating available for customers.
We were served by a full-figured female server, and I was surprised by the rude service we received.
One of the items we ordered was noodle soup, which I’ll refer to as Noodle A. Noodle A was placed next to another dish, Noodle Soup B. However, the server mistakenly gave us both Noodle A and Noodle B. I clarified, saying, “Wait! We only wanted Noodle A, not B.” Her response was, “You said it, and then she (my sister) said it again; you guys said it a couple hundred times.”
Objectively, this was simply a miscommunication that we only wanted Noodle A. Such misunderstandings happen every day in restaurants. Without her mouth, a quick action to return Noodle B to its original place would have resolved the issue in just a few seconds.
I had hoped for a normal response from a server, such as, “Oh, no worries,” but unfortunately, that was not the reaction we received. When I asked her where we had said “a couple hundred times?” I sarcastically commented at the end, “Wow, you guys have professional customer service!” She responded by saying, “Yeah, I’ve been in this field for 20 years.”
Very truly disgusted!
I will never ever recommend this restaurant to anyone!!

Everything at Haoshixuan is delicious. I don’t know what the roast goose is. The roast duck sells for 30 to 32 yuan a piece at other places, but it sells for 38 yuan. If you don’t accept food coupons, the business will be bad with OCT cards.

I go there weekly and this week, the womens by the rice serving area have bad manners. They gave me so many carrots on my order instead of the main veggies. Their respond was that the carrots are addons, which is a stupid respond because I am paying for it.

Used to come here often for their chopped roast meats hanging by . Place has became overcrowded due to accepting food stamps that their quality went downhill. Their meats are a hit or miss, sometimes too bland, sometimes too salty. The cha siew (roast pork) is chopped poorly, very thick slices and it’s dry and lacking flavor. The roast pig skin is not even crispy, they give you the scraps that no one wants (lower leg meat). Some parts are very lean and dry. The roast duck is lacking flavor, the skin is very rubbery and sometimes leaves mouth full of oil. They also sell bread in the back of restaurant. The bread does not look appealing, taste was ok but do not get the steam white ones in the fridge, those taste bad. Overall quality went downhill due to influx of customers and demand that they start making their food with minimum effort to keep up with demand.

Though they don’t always understand English, the food is super fresh and delicious! I love how crunchy the bbq pig is! Definitely recommend that! The duck tends to be a bit salty, but it’s still so good! I always get the meat over rice w/ veggies (which is sautéed cabbage leaves)

Love getting their lunch special. 3 different choices over rice, $7!!. Lots of options, great flavor

Famous $7 lunch with choices of 3 different dishes and one cup of soup. Cantonese BBQ is very good too. Price is very reasonable. There is a bakery within.

The food was good although a little oily but can't beat the lunch price of $6.50 (three choices and comes with ?)
