A couple of friends and I had the pleasure of having dinner at Martine’s Bistro. We enjoyed the ambiance, there was light jazz music playing in the background. I enjoyed the food. I had the famous Haitian black rice (Djion, Djion) and meatballs, absolutely delicious. I also had the Jus Citron(lemonade) which was yummy. It was freshly made. The portions are pretty good, I ended taking some of the food to go. I must say it reheats well and tasted even better. I would say...
I definitely enjoyed this restaurant, my favorite take out restaurant for authentic Haitian cuisine. The aura and the aesthetics of the restaurant is so beautiful & cozy. My favorite is the fritay ,Tassot, jerk chicken & soup joumou, everything is so fresh and flavorful. Always look forward to going back. My new go to restaurant!
I fell for the social media hype. The ladies were very sweet when I went there. Nice but there was a language barrier. Ordered takeout. The gryo was dry and no real seasoning. Missed the taste of epis and seasoning. The rice was okay. To add insult I asked for picklez. They told me they had none. You are a Haitian restaurant and you have no piklez. Worst is that I has to use the restroom and it was out of order. SMH.
