I've just returned to Brooklyn after 22 years in Queens. Finding places that feel like home has been a challenge. Gargiulos is that place I've been looking for almost a year to find. We arrived early on Friday night to celebrate a belated birthday and it couldn't have been more perfect. Blue cheese stuffed olives for my dirty martini, white bean and escarole soup with linguini in garlic and oil. It was perfection. My love ordered the pasta e fagiole and osso buco and was beyond happy. Both of us are cooks and it's hard to find a place where they make linguini in garlic and oil better or just as good as we can. Gargiulos nailed it! Light and just the right amount of garlic. I'm so happy to write a positive review but more so to have found a little bit of home in Brooklyn. Thank you for making my special birthday dinner so much more!

Gargiulo's is always a good choice! The ambiance and service is wonderful, great staff, beautiful room. We ordered pastas and chicken dishes, all delicious. Desserts are a must!

We went to celebrate our anniversary and everything was top of the line. Our waiter was a first class gentleman who also made me one hell of a great Manhattan. Service was superior and the food was delicious from start to finish. It's worth the trip all the way out to Coney Island to dine at this beautiful old school Italian American classic. Highly recommended!

The best Sunday sauce ever! Amazing. Tip: make dinner reservations by 6:00 pm and street parking is ample if you want to skip the valet.

We booked the latest reservation we could do and they rushed our dinner so quick. Maybe they shouldn’t have those reservations at all then

The food, especially the lobster tails oreganata, was delicious and the service was better than excellent! It was a very elegant and special way to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

The expensive chicken cutlet parmigiana was a frozen patti, it was two pieces of perfectly cut chicken, the cheese not fully melted and the sauce was cold. Could not complain because I was with guests. Would not return. The bread was good.

We sat quickly, but then waited 20-30 minutes to put our order in. Then it felt like we weren’t important to the staff, an afterthought. “Oh, sorry, could we bother you for another glass of water…?” We ordered a variety of antipasti - cozze were the only dish with a bit of flavor. The pizza then took another 20-30 minutes to come after the antipasti: the mushrooms on the sausage and mushroom pizza made the dough too soggy. Even the pepperoni seemed to just lack flavor. Everything could have used at least a bit more salt.
