Went for a date night. Great food and service. Plus it seemed like half the place was on a date too. Get the burger!!! Best thing on the menu.

Might be a top 3 burger for me WOW. A bit on the greasier side but the flavor explosion from the beef + fried mushroom. WOW.

Delicious burger, cozy vibes, and service that can’t be beat.

On the recommendation of our server, Tom, we ordered the sunchokes for an appetizer and cheeseburger and risotto for mains. Favorite bite of the night were the sunchokes with fresh parm and pepper sauce. The cheeseburger and risotto were also outstanding and generously portioned. For dessert, our server recommended an unforgettable parsnip sponge cake with a decadent heap of cream cheese buttercream. The knowledgeable and friendly service made the dining experience warm and welcoming. I’ll be back!

Food was phenomenal. Service was good but took a while to get a drink at first. I also don’t love how they don’t serve hard alcohol but cocktails are priced as if they are. So make sure you’re aware that cocktails are made with wine or Soju.(which is fine but adjust the prices). But overall good vibes, friendly staff and amazing food.

I had a great experience at this American restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions and rich flavors. The burgers were juicy and perfectly cooked, the fries were crispy, and the desserts were the perfect sweet ending to the meal.

The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with a cool, casual vibe. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Service was fast, and everything arrived fresh and hot.

Overall, it’s a fantastic spot if you’re craving classic American comfort food. I’ll definitely be back for another burger night!

Tried this place out for the first time the other night with hight hopes and expectations. The menu is a fairly limited with classic american dishes like mac and cheese, cheese burgers and pot pies with an upscale flare. We tried the cheeseburger and the chicken pot pie. The cheeseburger is pretty small but tasty. The chicken pot pie is toped with two cornflake encrusted chicken cutlets and was an interesting dish. The service is super slow here so do not be in a rush. It took 15 mins or more for a server to say hello and take our drink order. We went on a cold evening so everytime the front door opened it was freezing. Dress warm in the winter months if you plan to visit this place. The resturant is very loud when it is busy making it not the nicest place for a date night but better for a drinking with friends night. They do have real candels on every table which was a nice touch.

The menu is scant in size but extensive in flavor, providing tantalizing flavor morsels that delight. Delicious food, fresh and well portioned, provides a amazing dining experience for a romantic evening or a friendly get together. Don't recommend going hungry because the dishes take time but you won't leave hungry.

Excellent brunch. The Dutch Baby was delicate and hot, the Mexican Mocha had a great kick, and the BECT had a great mix of flavors and textures between the fried tomatillo and the pickled shallots. Definitely ask for their house made hot sauce!

Hot take: Gator's cheeseburger is the best burger I've ever had in my life.

We ordered the focaccia flatbread, mac and cheese, crispy chicken, porkchop, risotto, and cheeseburger. I kid you not, everything tasted delicious! Each dish was seasoned perfectly and had balanced flavors. My highlight was definitely the burger -- the meat was cooked perfectly, the bread was the perfect vessel, the tempura mushroom added great texture, and it was just an umami bomb of flavor!

The staff was also so nice, accommodating, and ready to answer/explain any questions regarding the dishes/menu. Oh and the vibes in there are stupid cute! They had alligator wallpaper!

Please please please do yourselves a favor and head over to Gator for a truly delightful dining experience!

Gator is a standout restaurant. Definitely in the running for best brunch in Greenpoint. I’m absolutely shocked that this place isn’t full to the brim every weekend. Every item on their menu is carefully devised, unique, and created to a very high standard. Their green eggs and ham are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Full of flavor, perfectly cooked. The flatbread?? Incredible. Great service too, everyone is always welcoming and friendly. I hope they’re around for a long time to come!

Excellent restaurant! Had the chicken which is simple on paper but they managed to surprise me with sophisticated seasoning. That is a must-try!
