Gersi is a weeknight go to for me and my husband and reliable for a late reservation for a larger party. It’s always busy; but they also always have space. But I was really blown away last weekend when I hosted a large brunch here and everything was phenomenal. Brunch is delicious! The French toast wow! The food was well coursed, the staff went above and beyond, and they were all so accommodating to our table decor and making it a special meal. Thank you so much! Gersi is the best!

Gersi is the best restaurant in the neighborhood and has been my and my husband's favorite for years. The food is always delicious and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. We recently had our baby shower in the heated garden in the back, and it was everything we could have asked for and more. Fernando, the manager, is a PLEASURE to work with - he and his staff were so kind, thorough, and attentive every step of the way. He even asked us what color flowers we wanted on the day of our shower so that he could prepare them accordingly. I don't know any other restaurant in NYC that would be this customer-focused and thoughtful. My husband and I actually went back to Gersi for dinner the weekend after our baby shower because we love it that much. They are a fantastic team and will do right by you whether you're coming in for brunch, dinner, or hosting an event. Thank you, Gersi Team!

We came here for NYE dinner and it was packed and had a great energy. Full tables inside and on the outdoor heated backyard. Service was great, especially given how busy they were and food and drinks did not take too long. The spicy rigatoni is actually very spicy, unlike similar dishes at other restaurants. Everyone enjoyed their meal!
AMAZING!!!! beautiful restaurant, great service, and incredible food. I will think about the kale caesar everyday. Everything was fresh and tasty. The cocktails were delicious as well.

My friend and I popped in here on a whim after walking around Brooklyn for hours and not knowing what to eat and boy am I glad we did. I tend not to order pasta when I go out because I do just fine making it at home but this menu was INSPIRED. There were so many things I wanted to order but I ended up going with a penne dish with shrimp in it and it was to die for. The shrimp was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Not sure what kind of bread they brought out, kinda seemed like focaccia but I am incredibly ignorant so I could absolutely be wrong, but it almost made me emotional it was so damn good.My only gripe, if you can even call it that, is they had like 3 different menus to account for specials and seasonal dishes which is great, but I went on their website to look up the menu afterwards to recall what I tried and what I wanted to try. Their website only has their main, permanent menu so there were a lot of dishes that I didn’t see listed. So if you’re scouting out the menu before you go - there might be even more options when you’re there!!

Food is great. Branzino highly recommended. Bruschetta is amazing. Pass on the fennel citrus salad. The pastas were all great. Place is EXTREMELY loud. With 6 people at the table one end of the table could not hear the other. They charge 3% surcharge for credit card. It's not like it's McDonald's selling $1 hamburgers. I'm sure they can absorb the 2% credit card fee

This is my favorite Italian spot in Carroll Gardens! The pasta is so fresh, and they have a really cute heated garden in the back, as well as sidewalk seating and adorable indoor seating. The waitstaff is always very pleasant, and they offer free delivery if you live in the area.Honorable mention: Gersi's Instagram page! Their posts always make me smile. They are constantly highlighting their employees, from birthday posts to simple appreciation posts.
