Great experience all around. Delicious food and a great Saturday Brunch vibe. Took the Matzo Ball Soup and Smash-burger despite coming for brunch and didn’t disappoint. Only negative is they’re moving closer to their Sister location “Gertrud’s” in Park Slope in a month.
I ordered a matcha and a chicken salad. The matcha was great. The chicken salad came and looked incredible. Like, it looked mouth watering! First half of the sandwich, the mustard was strong but i was kind of into it. But then I began to eat the second half. Every bite was almost painful. I was assaulted by the mustard. Like, tearing up from how much my sinuses burned.
I was rooting for you, Gertie! Can't speak to the rest of the menu but maybe skip on the mustard when you order.
When it’s great it’s so good but when it’s not… Personally love the whitefish, just get ready to eat LOTS of it lol
Everything is incredible. Get The Big Salad.
Delicious breakfast .
I’m so sad to be writing this because I wanted to go here for two years but this was not good at all. Came here for a birthday brunch and was brought a cocktail with a bug in it. I asked them to remake it and they did and brought ANOTHER cocktail with a bug in it. Switched to a different drink and they got the third drink wrong??? I can’t tell if the food was actually bad or not because I was just so grossed out thinking it all had bugs in it, but I really didn’t like my whitefish bagel either. Again. So sad, because I really wanted to love it.
At the end, I was expecting them to at least take our bug drinks off, but they did not. :/
A team always smiling and ready to answer all our questions.
The advice on wine pairings was excellent.
A sense of hospitality that transforms a simple meal into a memorable experience.
Place looks cute clean and fresh Food is very very salty. Every time I asked for a change or something different the answer was no. Coffee was good

Great food, disappointing service, and you smell like fried onions after you leave because the kitchen ventilation system does not work.
No almond milk. Bummer.
Super fun take on a classic Jewish deli.
