An interesting concept of a pop up brunch spot in a sushi restaurant. The lemon and blueberry ricotta pancakes are great! The chilaquiles were nice as well. It’s not super well known so most likely not a wait on the weekend

Location: vibrantly decorated with Japanese modern art, with large windows surrounding the entire restaurant, the place feels light, open, and comfortable. Brunch is served until 3p, at which points the restaurant turns into a noodle bar with a relatively extensive menu of noodles, ramen, sushi, and other Asian motivated options.Service: very welcoming host and waitress, who were attentive without hovering. Quick drinks and water were served. We were dining with our son, who was asleep in a stroller, and they accommodated us without hesitation. We had paid as he woke up, and they did not mind us staying while he ate his food.Food: This is where, personally, I feel it fell onto the brunch "trap." We had the Korean chicken sandwich and the "pancakes from Heaven." The pancakes were good. Batter was light and fluffy, without being bready. Serving was well sized, with some fruits and whipped cream over. The Korean fried chicken sandwich was a bit more average. The chicken was clearly of good quality, but everything else in the sandwich was just your off the restaurant shelf quality. Iceberg lettuce, neon green pickles, regualr brioche bread buns, and a homemade sauce that had a decent kick but used all too sparingly. The fries were obviously of the frozen kind, with some cracked pepper and chopped up cilantro as garnish. My real disdain came from the Kara-age chicken side I ordered for the kid. It was barely 5 small nuggets, with no particular presentation (granted, it was a side), and although flavorful, it felt cheap and uninteresting, as if they just used the leftover cuts of the chicken prep to make them. I am not sure how much it cost, but I would rather not know.Value: *sigh* it's brunch? Some $50ish after two adults, a side and a coffee (no alcohol, although I did buy a beer later), seem about what brunch goes for these days. And honestly, unless it is some upscale joint, chances are you're getting a $5-10 meal for twice or thrice the cost. Gigi and Max were no different in this front. They did have outstanding service, a great atmosphere (Latin music playing over a Japanese decorated restaurant serving American style brunch? Sign me up for the cacophony of styles) and a simple yet elegant facade. And we didn't have to wait one hour plus, which is also a staple of brunch time. We will definitely return to try the noodle options, as they seem to be much more of a varied and inspiring menu.

Kid-friendliness: They accommodated us and another couple with strollers and were attentive and friendly with our child.

This place is absolutely adorable. They are located inside of Oishi Noodle Bar, and they are open only on Friday's, Saturdays, and Sunday's for breakfast and brunch. They have a limited but very inexpensive menu options, and if you pay in cash, you get a discount. The place is small and clean, the service is friendly, and the food tasted great. I ordered the Maxi's Pancakes and Eggs, and I must say, I was impressed on how pretty the plate looked, and for the price, there was so much food. This restaurant is definitely worth checking out, and I will most certainly stop in again in the future.

My family and I visit often for a breakfast and atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re on vacation. Simply the best!

Kid-friendliness: We play a competitive game of connect four and the tables are large enough to accommodate us. The staff is very kid friendly as well.

We went today, 9/21 @2pm. There were a total of two people both at separate tables (inside and outdoor) and no one else. The two of us ordered and I ordered the Sam's Omelette Challenge. My friend ordered the Smash Burger. We waited at least 35 minutes for our food which was long when no one else was ordering. The other two people were already finished and on their phone or laptop. Our waitress kept checking in the kitchen several times and then came over to apologize for the wait. We couldn't imagine what the delay was when we were the only two orders. We can't imagine the wait for food when it's crowded. The omelette was good and had very good flavor. However, it was dry and overcooked. The bread was great; buttered, toasted, sliced thick and with the preserves, really great! The sweet potato diced home fries had very good flavor. Overall, pretty good, but wish the omelette wasn't dry and overcooked. Wish it were more fluffy and creamy.

A very small, very mediocre Caesar salad for 20 dollars? No thanks, I won't be going there again, although Oishii, which shares the space, is very good.

LOVE THIS PLACE! For starters the atmosphere is so nice. Fresh flowers on the beautiful wooden (big) tables. Our server Caitie was amazing, so attentive and sweet! She recommended the sangria which I loved. I also had the pancakes from heaven with berries & fresh cream! Will def be back for those. 10/10 recommend.

Light, fluffy, delicious pancakes & french toast. The best chicken fingers I’ve ever tried. Gorgeous and tasty AF avocado toast. Hurry in before the rest of Bay Ridge finds out about it!

Wanted to try this place for awhile and finally got to enjoy my hangout suggestion brunchin with good friends- I found the service to be Amazing, & staff to be Friendly . They had great recommendations for food & drinks. My friends & I shared a sangria pitcher which was delicious & I had the French toast which hit the spot for me. Will most definitely be back for more & glad Bay Ridge can enjoy this hotspot. Looking forward to trying more of their menu items. Want to try Oishi one day soon too.

A friend suggested this spot & I’ve heard good things so found ourselves there.Staff is very friendly & attentive, also gave great recommendations.Had the Korean Crispy Chicken Sandwich which was SO tasty ? and my friends & I shared a pitcher of sangria after staff confirmed it did not contain a lot of sugar but did have 3 different types of alcohol ? Only problem: now I’m spoiled & must only be served cocktails here in these very oversized mason jar of sorts ?needless to say the sangria quenched our thirst ?Will definitely be back to try more items from the menu, another customer recommended the avocado ? toast ?on her way out ??‍♀️ that could be something tried in my next visit ?

I wanted to try a new spot for brunch, and so I stopped by this place. The atmosphere felt very welcoming, the food was great, and the staff were very courteous and attentive. I ordered an Eggs Benedict with ham, and it was served over actual bread, unlike the usual soggy English muffin that other places like to throw in. Will definitely swing by again soon to try other items!
