Be careful if you slip or fall in Gino’s . My fiance slipped in the downstairs bathroom because bathroom was full of piss on the floor which hadn’t been cleaned by their staff. She jerked her neck and back and shoulders resulting 2 days of going to the hospital. The Manager knew I was taking her up the hospital . He took my number so he would give me the incident report and also their corporate insurance information. It has been 3 weeks n still no one from corporate has called but I do have texts from him but now he says he can’t give incident report . He said nothing you can do , you just have to wait . It seems to me it’s all lies . I went back a couple of weeks later to speak to the Boss(Maria) what happened and I also showed her a law that requires the restaurant to immediately give the injured person the insurance number. I told her My fiancée is suffering and the hospital bills are adding up and she needs to see an orthopedic Doctor which can be very costly. Maria brushed me off when I tried to get the insurance number and claim number- I believe they were lying and never told the insurance company what happened . She also said “Do what you have to do” so basically she said to get a lawyer .

The food was good, the service was good, the atmosphere was great. I'd go again. However, it is best to have a reservation because otherwise you may need to wait a while.

I'm still fuming about my disappointing birthday dinner experience at Gino's a couple of weeks ago. As regulars who frequent this spot weekly and consistently spend around $200, my son and I expected better.

Unfortunately, the relatively new bartender Megan fell short. Her attention was diverted, and service was lacking. She was literally exposing her boobs to customers interested of personality which she obviously doesn’t have . But what really shocked us was when the blond hostess came over behind the bar and started pouring alcohol from our bottle to other customers. This was not only unprofessional but also unacceptable.

To add insult to injury, our steak orders were botched - my son's rare steak arrived medium-well, and mine was overcooked too. The hostess's response to our concerns was dismissive, laughing off our feedback.

We expressed our dissatisfaction with a reduced $10 tip, but Megan took it upon herself to add a hefty $30 tip to our bill. I have documentation to support this.

Gino's has lost our loyalty. We've found a new favorite spot - Postiano - which delivers exceptional food and service.

Delivery takes ridiculously long and there’s no way to call and get an estimated time of arrival. Top expensive for such terrible service.

I would have given 5 stars if the service and dinner portions were more very skimpy portions.
I completely understand that the cost of living has gone up.
It's just got to the point where your better off having family and friends come over your house for a much better service and huge dinner.

First the appetizers:
We ordered the hot antipasta one eggplant rollatini two shrimp four baked clams and possibly ten pieces of fried calamari and we were four people all together I'm sorry to say in my opinion that's embarrassing to serve that kind of portion for four people it's horrible almost $18.00 dollars for that one appetizer I don't mind paying more but give me food to eat and enjoy.
I don't recommend Gino's in Bayridge Brooklyn any longer and I've been a customer since the early 80's it's sad but they lost a customer not that it matters to them.

For appetizer, we ordered the mussels with white wine sauce…while it tasted ok it was not great and it was definitely watery. With a little effort the sauce could have been thicker and it would have tasted better to make it a good dish. For dinner, my husband ordered Filet o’Sole Franchese style…this was very watery also, it was very bland and the fish was not Sole, it was Tilapia. It is supposed to be a buttery sauce with white wine, lemon and herbs. While it tasted ok, the sauce didn’t have the substance or color of butter, it actually looked white…what pray tell could have been the ingredient that made it look white. I ordered Red Snapper. It was cooked in a reddish sauce with Calamata Olives and Capers…was good and the sauce was thicker than water but still wasn’t a hearty sauce that you would want to dip your bread in to sop up the sauce. The Red Snapper came with a plumb tomato on top as a garnish. Can you imagine a whole plumb tomato from a can used as a garnish. It looked ridiculous. Again a little effort would have gone a long way. While everything was ok to eat and didn’t taste bad, it was poorly executed. What a shame it could have been a great dinner with a little more effort. Both of them were not hard dishes to make and didn’t take many ingredients to make it a good tasting dish. It really pisses me off when restaurants charge top dollar but skimp on the ingredients. These dishes were mediocre at best and both my husband and I were disappointed.

I love their food but I live next block, when they are busy they’re blocking the whole 5th ave and its pretty much annoying me, they cause traffic a lot.

Gino's was packed the Friday night I went to dinner, however, the service was speedy and excellent. The wait was very little for food and drinks. The food was delicious and flavorful. Would recommend

Ordered from Gino’s one day last week. I ordered the Special which was Linguine with Baby Clams and Mussles in White Clam Sauce.
Don’t ever order this.
The so called “Sauce” consisted of oil, garlic, and more oil. I had to remove as much as I could. The baby clams were so tiny …once out of the shell….they were smaller than my pinkie nail….I kid you not. The mussles were small but not as bad as the clams.
I didn’t want to call them during the weekend….so I called last Tuesday….spoke to some girl who said she was the manager….Liar, liar. Anyway, she said she would call me back….Never got a call all week. So….my Sicilian Nerve was twitching, I tell ya. I called again today…spoke to a guy who said he was the manager…he told me his name which I won’t mention…..but I knew I was speaking to a manager, told him what happened.
He told me that I should have called them very night and have them pick up the two orders. I explained to him that I didn’t want to cause any problems over the weekend because I knew they were busy. Cut to the chase he said I’ll look into it and get back to you. Did he call any of you because he never called me.
Gino’s is really taking advantage of the customers by skimping with the ingredients with what they’re using in the dishes and charging higher prices.
It’s sad when they are secure about their business and never get back to customers that’s what happens. Greed is a terrible thing!!!!!!!!

My experience from making a reservation, the staff, food presentation, desserts was EXCEPTIONAL! Let’s start here. THE SPECIALS. Read them. Fantastic! If they don’t spark for you, go with the signature dishes, shrimp and beans. Penne with the escarole and breadcrumbs. (If you want gluten free - TELL THEM) the grilled chicken marinade with string beans or broccoli rape. WHATEVER. THERE IS NEVER A BAD MEAL THERE. Desserts. Afogato! A MUST. Tiramisu. Beautiful. The drinks….Amazing. Thank you GINOS FAMILY!
