Without question some of the best pizza in NYC. Pricey, but the quality of the ingredients is evident.

It’s pizza. Why is this place so expensive? I genuinely don’t understand? The pizza is good, but at that price, you can find a lot better, even in the city. Again, the food was good, but compared to the price it was MEH.

This place is the real deal and worth every penny! If you know what you’re doing, you order your pie with garlic and sauce on the side.

What happened? Years ago we used to come here all the time and couldn't get enough of the pizza! Having not visited in a long time, we decided to stop by, the pizza is now TOTALLY different. The dough tasted like a matzo cracker with toppings. Noticed that it is no longer wood but rather some sort of gas fire was installed which is probably why it tasted like it did, we didn't even bother to get another pie. Sad to say will not be going back anytime soon!

We walked here because we had 4hrs to kill before we could get into lucali. Lucali better have game, because this place is banging! Thin, crisp but not cracker. The sauce has a nice tomato taste with an acidic kick. Come here!

Edit- Lucali did not step up, this was the best pizza we had this night and if Lucali is worth a 4 hr wait, so is this place ... Maybe even 6hrs?

We did our annual Pizza Bike Tour to Giuseppina's today. The pizzas were excellent, the outdoor seating was perfect to accommodate our group of 20 people, and the atmosphere casual. While everything was great the real highlight of the experience was the manager Phil and his passion, appreciation and respect. It's very clear he loves what he does and takes pride in his work. As people were leaving everyone remarked how delicious the pizza was, but more importantly how genuinely enthusiastic Phil was.

Very hard to rate this place on its own having been to Lucalis dozens of times but Ill try and then compare and contrast for those that might care. Lets start with the Pizza and Calzone. Pizza crust turned out a bit too thin. Flavor was really good but it also had a lot of extra flour on the bottom and there ended up being too much liquid in the center of the pizza from the toppings making it lose some of its integrity from the start. Very solid all in all though. Ricotta in the calzone was delicious and the crust was also good. Got the sausage and mushrooms in it and there ended up being too much liquid leaving the crust a bit on the softer side after just a few mins. Also 10$ for the sausage addition seems steep for the amount used in the calzone but it was ultimately a very good calzone. Better than you will find in 99% of places in the country im sure.
Its very good pizza and calzone with several bites having me reminiscing about all the wonderful times aIve spent across the canal. However, Lucalis pizza is a bit better, BYOB is better and giving the marinara + parm standard with the calzone is better. 5/5 experience not having to wait in line :)

I love this place. Best to eat in and taste their pies straight from the oven. Not sure how they don’t show up in the “best of..” lists. Hidden gem.
