Google says it's temporarily closed. This place has been gone for years and there's a whole gentrified restaurant there now. We gotta let the gold room go.

I made an online reservation but when i showed up they said they had no reservation under that name. After going back and forth for a while and showing them the confirmation they found us a table. However, my friend and I never got any service. We waited for 40 mins but didn’t receive any menu or drink. I asked my friend if she wanted to go somewhere else since we had driven from NJ and were starving. My friend decided to at least use the bathroom before leaving but when she asked a server they gave her hella attitude and I personally saw the server make fun of my friend when she was on her way to the bathroom. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place if you have anger issues cuz you’ll leave in handcuffs.

These positive reviews must be from friends and family. The Hostess did her best with what she could handle by being the barback and waitress. It took over an hour to receive food was mediocre at best. The music sub par. There's no handicap accessible ramp. They cannot handle a party of more than 5. Nice people though.

Waited an incredibly long time for service; decided to leave.

Disgusting place to be calling themselves an establishment. They had two waiters the entire night for more than 30 plus tables. Trash service and had the nerve to bring us our drinks after our damn food after asking 2 times where they were.

Decided to finally check this place out for the first time as I always walked by it on my way home. I was excited that it was black owned.Unfortunately, while the place wasn't totally packed, my partner and I were waiting for about 15 minutes. Our server never greeted us. We had waters served to us by another server but got no menus to decide what we wanted so we didn't have to wait further. We eventually just got up and left our tables, unserveredUnfortunately, I can't say I'd be back. So saddened and disappointed.

I put this place on my list of spots I needed to try because it looked lit (food, drinks & vibes) when I saw a friend at it on IG awhile back, and when I looked it up, I saw that the owner was an alumni of either my HS or college (I forget which), so I wanted to support for that reason in addition to it being black owned. But I’ve been here twice now and have been severely underwhelmed both times. My first experience was a very disappointing brunch—too many items missing from an already small menu and the food was okay. Despite the fact that the establishment was almost empty that day and that it’s a small place to begin with, the service was slow (maybe because we were sitting outside and they kept forgetting about us? But it was only a little better once we came inside). We both usually love brunch, but it kinda killed our vibe and she said she was never going back.I wanted to give them another chance though because I always want my people to be great and I understand bad days happen, but my 2nd experience was even worse. I went for dinner this time and even more items were missing from the menu than before, the service was even more painfully slow than before, it took 20mins and two check ins to get our drinks, and my pasta came out an hour after we ordered it but still 15mins before my friend’s even though he ordered the exact same thing. I thought the pasta was okay but he liked it. The only other positives were that the drinks were strong, and even though the staff was ditzy and kind of incompetent, they were very friendly and nice.I wanted to give 2 stars but I gave 3 because I sincerely hope they improve since the spot has a lot of potential even though it’s tiny, and I still want our people to win... but I doubt I have it in me to try it a 3rd time.

No point in reserving. They will just have you standing there for 30 minutes without even acknowledging you. No one stated how long the wait was. All around us people were complaining about the bad service and how there was only one waiter working. To the owner, that worker was working as hard as she could and can use support from you. Either hire more people or limit capacity and stop allowing individuals to reserve with no seats available.
