Coming from a Chinese foodie, this is THE classic AUTHENTIC Chinese comfort food. You pick 4 sides and you'll receive a side of rice and soup for only $8. The sides rotate on a daily basis and it really could be hit or miss. However, the side of marinated fried fish we got tasted odious and unpleasant.
Would recommend but beware of language barriers.

Our go to takeout place, a great staple for Chinese food dishes!

Recently moved to the area and found this place for a quick lunch. How do you beat rice, four sides, and a cup of broth for $8?! The process is easy: Pay, they give you a tray, then just point to what you want from the buffet—and they're really efficient!

Last time I went Golden Chopsticks with my friend for lunch after we went around the Amsterdam city center. We like Cantonese food so much, and ordered some Cantonese food. Actually this is our first time to come here to have food, but the food was so yummy. We will recommend our friend to come here to have lunch or dinner.
The food here is delicious and the price is very reasonable! I paid $8 for 4 sides, white rice, and soup. The staff is also very welcoming and kind.If there is a language barrier, you can follow these directions. Go to the cashier and let them know which option you'd like (they have papers in the front with prices) and if it's to stay or to go. Once you pay the cashier, they'll give you a clean tray with a plate/container. You can then point to which foods you'd like and the ladies will serve you. When you're done, go back to the cashier's counter, where they'll pack up your foods if you're taking it to go.

In the first glance to the menu, it seems the price is on the upper side, however, it is worthwhile if you take the portion size and quality into account. As a Hongkonger, I can say the it is a very decent authentic Cantonese food, and the food quality is justified among the living standard of Amsterdam, waiters are smart, friendly and well versed in Cantonese, Dutch and English. And, there are selections of “碟頭飯” (rice and food on a dish) if less people with you or you prefer lower price tags.
This was a perfect hole in the wall restaurant in the Center of greater Amsterdam. The prices were immaculate considering how much food you got. The food was amazing and the only think better then the food was the service. We had a 10 minute plus conversation with one of the servers which was amazing. Would highly recommend
The food was overpriced and was clearly not fresh. Toilets you had to pay for. The meat was fatty, rice was chewy and after all that the server demanded a tip.

Loved the food and the service, especially the waiter Mike! Great location, wide menu, fantastic service, delicious food, loved sitting outside.
So rude not a good experience at all. Probably the worst chicken curry we have tasted. Not a good experience and very expensive.
Just not good Chinese food. Everything was edible, but that's about it. Fried rice was just ok, but had little flavor--how can you mess up fried rice? The won ton soup broth was standard chicken broth, but the wonton dumplings were strangely large and filled with odd meat paste, not typical at all. The pan fried noodle was completely unmemorable. Recommend to find another place.
So we started with high hopes because of the big menu and variety of foods. Our server didn t speak english so it was also not the easiest to understand what each food was. Then the foos was clearly reheated, noodles greasy and cold, beef chewy and weird, and food overall bland. I love chinese food but this was the worst i ever had by far.
My colleagues and I come here quite often for lunch. Great portions for affordable price. Get the fried fish, we usually double up on this! So many choices, endless combinations.$7.50 - 4 items with rice + soup or iced tea$8.00 - 5 items no rice + soup or iced teaPay at the counter, pick your items along the long buffet. That's all it is.
