My favorite dimsum/yum cha place. I have been coming here ever since I was young. This place was known as another restaurant prior to changes. But to my surprise today.... I came here in the morning, thinking I would be able to have my dimsum/yum cha after 3+ months, this place has shut down and now I don't know where to go anymore... all the other places don't match up with the flavors from here and the nostalgia I associate with this restaurant.... A very sad day for me, this place will surely be missed. Hopefully the owner sees this and could let me know where did the chef move onto because I really miss their food.

Went for a wedding and the food was subpar for a chinese wedding. Not sure how the morning Dim Sum is, but small the parking lot which ppl play bumper cars. I would be careful if you park in the lot.

Great. It's a true classic. Food and service are top-notch. I've been there many times. I'm never disappointed. It gets very crowded at peak times.

Food is fantastic and the atmosphere is definitely very tradition Chinese. The service was less than mediocre and for a full service restaurant I sure had to try pretty hard just to pay my bill. The food was still fantastic and I’d still return but just don’t expect good service.
Parking: About 15 Parking spots so very limited.

Food is consistently good. I'd like to get there early because they have a small parking lot.Update: we had dim sum today and everything was good and economical.

This place is great for private rooms. The crab was amazing and so were other dishes. Service was pretty great too. It’s good when the servers change dishes because of the shells and bones. Great place overall!
The food was very tasty! I can see by reading other reviews that the cuisine is Cantonese, and as a native English speaker, I could roughly make this out. The people were hospitable hosts and careful to make us feel at home and have our preferences met. We picked a la carte dim sum options as well as traditional Cantonese/Hong Kong style dishes like the ho or chow fun (wide noodles). A bit oily but I am told this is customary for authentic Chinese cuisine.Tea was very refreshing. Large banquet hall space looked ideal for parties. A parking lot in Brooklyn: what more could you ask for? Please give it a try.
The attitude of the waiters is extremely bad, the service is not in place, and they want to get more tips, and they curse people if they don't give more tips. Never patronize this black shop again in the future!!!

The service was slow, and the food only warm by the time it was served. Avoid ordering from the menu. Stick to the Dim Sum.
Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly
Celebrated our daughter’s first birthday here. Excellent venue!

The experience in this Golden Imperial Place was terrible! The Terrible services I have never had in other restaurants in Brooklyn:1. First got into the restaurant for Dim Sum at around 11:30 am, obviously not too many customers and few empty tables without the reservation signs but NO any waiter or waitresses come and bring us in! Until I saw some customers came and sit by themselves! I asked a waiter’Can I have to wait for you or just find a table ny self like the others?’ He said rudely ‘ go there and wait!’ Okay, we stood in the waiting area without any idea and still NO one takes care us… until few minutes later, I asked a waitress a table when she walked around me, she said ‘no table’ ?? Again! There were 3 available tables closed by the waiting area and one available huge table closed by the stage! And the funny thing was, we have group of people but gave us a small table! but saw other small groups (about 3, 4 people) were using bigger tables!2. During the Dim Dum time, not too much options, and the food services are not care about the food quality and keep the food clean: rice noodles, Durian mochi surface are rough; the cooked food were placed on a opened cart in the middle of hallway, no one watched, the customers walked around and some of the customers asked questions to the food service, I can saw their saliva spitting on the food! ?3. When the tea was drank, have to call waiter to refill boiled water! The waiter and waitress didn’t pay attention and gave good care to the customers, some waitresses were holding each other’s hand, walked around like shopping.4. When I asked for a dinner menu for kitchen food, a waitress spent at least 2 mins to find their special lunch menu to me and then with an impatient look, pat me on the arm with the menu, even not call me ‘Mrs.’ Or Madam’ - even say ‘Hi’ I would still feel the respect, but she did not!I don’t know why I have that terrible experience! Because I didn’t dress like a rich person? anyway, I still gave them good tips.2 stars is for the kitchen food and the owner because he is a good person and always giving out to the people who need help in the community.

Bad food, high price
I was passing through the area and needed a bite so I went to this restaurant after seeing some of its reviews online. It was a choice absolutely regret making. Slow service, rude servers, bad food despite (or because of) the relatively cheap price tag. On top of that place is in a run down location. The only thing this restaurant has going for it is that Tripadvisor doesn't allow users to give 0 stars review.
Went for an early dinner around 5:30pm and we reserved a table for 11 people. Good food and nice staff. Highly recommend the Salt and Pepper Squid and the Steak and Peppers.

I attended for a wedding so probably a bit different than the casual individual.Pros: Food very good, good atmosphere, spacious to invite friends and family.Cons: Depending on where you are loud, the speakers absolutely destroyed my eardrums but I understand why.
