I want you guys to take a look at this food so you know I'm not exaggerating. I just paid almost $10 for what's known as a special and in other establishments is known as a mini. I got rice and peas and jerk chicken and let me tell you something look at the picture. It was easily the most dried out overcooked jerk chicken I have ever eaten. On top of that it was the most expensive mini special I have ever gotten from a Jamaican restaurant and I am Jamaican. With that being said with the exception of buying a Patty I had absolutely no business walking into Golden Crest to buy food of any kind. At this point they're heavily commercial and there are several other destinations that I could have gone to for a mini slash special. The average price for a mini / special is 6-7 that is what I pay normally. I had just walked out of Capital One across the street and I said let me walk in there to see the woman who handed my food who was very nice but took forever but was very nice handed me my food and said it was $10 I couldn't believe it when she said it. Now look at those pictures of that completely overdone chicken that bombed out and depleted rice and peas and tell me if you think that's worth $10?

Convenient, clean location offering delicious Jamaican food. Favorite dishes always ready and soooo tasty!! One of the best places for authentic Island menu..... Keep on serving all the mouth-watering goodies we crave. Now I'm hungry for curry goat. Yes! good food!

Okay so I come in the restaurant it's at 1887 Rockaway parkway and I come up to the display case where they have the food so I don't see any rice there and I asked a woman do you have rice with peas so she asked me what size dish do you want I pointed out the large dish to her so she takes it off the top of a pile of tin dishes and walks to the back of the restaurant so when I see her come back she has rice in the dish that was kind of a red flag so now I see the cook come out with a pan of hot food and he puts it in the display table so I asked her what's that and she tells me curry goat so I say okay give me some of that and asked her to put some extra gravy on the rice I asked for cabbage and she said no we don't have cabbage what Caribbean restaurant doesn't have cabbage so she packed my food up and gave it to another lady at the register I asked the lady at the register to give me a chicken patty which was $3 and some change she ended up charging me $26 and some change for a large plate of food which wasn't large at all and a chicken patty when I got home I opened up the food took it out of the tin and put it on a plate the first thing that hit me when I opened it was it smelled like old food going bad then when I started looking at the meat the meat had all bones and fat on it and when I bit into the meat it was pink inside every single piece of meat that was in that dish had bones in it and the rice stunk and was going bad I was so disappointed and ended up throwing the food out honestly this was one of the worst plates of food I've ever had from a restaurant and as I'm writing this I hope I don't get sick and I definitely won't go back there

Stacy the cashier is very disrespectful and i never liked the fact that she said “i can’t calculate because a bay tik tok inna me head” who is she to say such thing to me because of a simple mistake.i always hear people saying the workers are very disrespectful but I didn’t believe till today u lost a loyal customer never coming there again.

the young people at this shop is so disrespect. the one at the Ltrain is the best.they talk and treat you with respect. i will not come back here .

This place only take care of Jamaican customers,if you not not speaking in patios they ignore you so I just walked out after 10 minutes
