The service was quick and friendly. The food was good but not great. I'd eat here again though, so I'm not down playing it.

When there is new staff there is a level of difficulty in the customers and staff getting adapted to one another. In this new iteration if you come "too late" for soup they think customer service includes telling you to go to the store and pick up the ingredients to make it yourself.

If you are on dietary restriction the policy changes from charging you the regular amount to they don't serve one thing without the other.

All and all it's a mixed bag 80 percent of the time the food is good, 70 percent of the time customer service is good. Depends who is working.

The food all looked really good. I had a spicy beef patty with coco bread. It wasn't too spicy but was tasty. There is no tables or chairs to sit and eat. To-go only.

I had much trepidation about eating here at first because my experience with other Golden Krust locations were not very good. However this location is stellar! They should teach a master class in custom service!

This is not your average Golden Krust or Caribbean restaurant/takeout where they tell you they're out of everything by lunchtime. This is a business that's friendly, professional and the food is well priced always fresh and satisfyingly delicious! They're busy all day long and still manage to provide appetizing meals with outstanding customer service! If you're in the area or want to order online, this is the place you want to eat!

This place has a high turnover of rude & discussing staff. Today, this dirty looking dread server must've been the MVP of them all. He was so miserable. I left that mediocre plate right there and chose to spend my money where it's value with good customer service.

I am a kid who comes from school on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays for fencing. Before I go inside for practice, I usually go to golden krust for food and it is really really good. The workers there are very nice and give me some food for free. I support them a lot and I recommend to come here all the time. I usually get mac and cheese with oxtail gravy and sometimes I usually get coco bread. The price for it is reasonable and I really respect them.

I used to come here often because it is the closest Caribbean restaurant within walking distance but have opted to take a drive elsewhere simply because of the food presentation. At 4 pm on a Saturday the food looked dried out and old (salmon, Rasta pasta, bbq chicken, fried chicken). There has to be a way to preserve the moisture in the food or to cover it so that it doesn't look like it had been sitting out overnight. I do trust that this would make the food look more appealing to buy. I dislike being inconvenienced but have found it better to drive to nearby restaurants like Royal Jerk or Tropical Taste. I hope that this review lands in the right hands and helps to improve this location. Best wishes!

PS: I went to Tropical Taste immediately after today and everything looked nice & fresh (it is a good business strategy to visit your competitors and see the difference)

This young lady, she had the most disgusting attitude ever I asked her can she just stir up the soup because it was clear that it was sitting there for a while, she looked at me, rolled her eyes eyes whispered something to her coworker, which was a male, and then he came over right away and serve me. She snapped her teeth./jups and walked away, rolling her eyes I did not understand. Why was she being so nasty? Why would they hire someone with such a disgusting attitude? Don’t waste your time in your money to go here the attitude here sucks. I don’t want someone would’ve disgusting attitude and ugly facial expressions, serving me food, that was a waste of $40

I had the great pleasure of enjoying the food at Golden Krust in Starrett City, but more importantly, I was impressed by the wonderful treatment I received from Dahlia, Debbie, and Andrea. The service and their smiles were fantastic! They even helped my sick fiance feel better while I was on the phone with her. Whoever hired these three women is smart!!! I've been a faithful customer of this franchise since High School. Today we left church and just wanted a quick bit before getting on the belt parkway home to SI. I ordered a Chicken Patty and CoCo Bread. To my surprise they DO NOT CUT THE BREAD ANYMORE. Maybe I'm nostalgic but it's always been that the bread would be butterflied to accommodate the patty. The most shocking was the patty. The taste te is still consistent however the filling has gone down. I had to eat half of the patty in order to get to the filling. I was deeply offended by the product. It's been a staple in ENY. Tower Isle's frozen Patties are a bit thicker but a smaller product. The bill was about $6 . Imma stay away for a while and just head to Puff Patties on Nostrand Ave and keep my money's worth.

Management please get a supervisor in there to conduct quality customer service. I had to ask if you were under new management. It’s 5pm and no more veggies for the evening rush, but more importantly city girls blasting while the employees are preparing for and passing phone back and forth with her female customer friend . It was absolutely disgusting. I was relieved an older lady came from the back and asked if I needed help as the others were to involved in their group conversation to say next. I’ve have been a loyal customer here for at least 11yrs. Bring the original staff back or retrain the ones.
