Ordered a small fried chicken on DoorDash and the meat was raw. The rice and peas taste as if it was burned or it was overnight rice.

Didn't dine in here, but read about the ox tail being tasty, so ordered it. It was good and so was the whole dish (vegetable and rice and peas). Will order again.

I came in on my lunch break and ordered a mini curry goat, white rice and cabbage. The curry goat had no flavor, you couldn’t even taste the curry. I’m highly dissatisfied and I feel the price paid versus the product doesn’t make sense. Please have your chef taste the food before putting it out. 4/8/2025 12:25pm

I’ve enjoyed a many meals from this location. My favorite part about this restaurant are the employees. These are some of the calmest, caring and gentle workers I’ve met in the food industry. They always appear polite and ask for clarity. If they ever make a mistake, they apologize and make it right. My recommendation for management is to utilize the glass covers (transparent ) for the food. Having the food in the open leaves room for microorganism to enter as well as dry the moisture out of the food. There is a barrier between customers and the food, which is a great addition. The restaurant is always clean and calm. I see great things for this location. All the best.

Best Golden Krust in Brooklyn!

When I’m craving oxtail, I only want it from this location! I’m bratty about my food, especially authentic Caribbean food. This Golden Krust is hands down the best in the Brooklyn franchise. THE BEST FOOD EVER!!!!!

They’ve renovated their space to a cleaner, warmer and more inviting ambiance; added some technological advancements in the ordering and checkout process; and lead with the best hospitality I’ve ever experienced at any Jamaican take-out spot.

I don’t need attitude with my Jamaican food for it to be authentic. Matter of fact, I prefer good energy with my food. You are guaranteed the best service and they often exceed your expectations. Now, if perhaps you do get some attitude, I would suggest an internal check. Because this team is top notch!

Do you see how they wrapped my food in plastic to avoid spillage and the extra gravy?!?!?! C’mon man!!! This is Heaven!

All of the chicken I got was cold and extremely hard. When though the bad food the atmosphere was nice with the music

The food is just mediocre here. They give you good portions, but the food just doesn't taste authentic, no seasoning, and no flavor. I get it that you have to cater to all dietary needs, but no flavor is a waste of purchasing food.

Great no frills takeout spot with tasty Caribbean cuisine. Portions are huge.

I paid too much money for the quality of food that I received. This place used to be my favorite Golden Krust location, but not anymore. I bought 2 oxtails dinners and they were HORRIBLE! I don't know if they got a new chef or they get their oxtails from a different company now, but whichever it is, it's not worth the money that I paid. I traveled far just to go to this particular restaurant. The 1st day I got home and we started to eat our food we could not continue eating it. The oxtails were very tough and dry, they weren't edible at all, even the rice and peas tasted different. I called the restaurant to tell them about my experience and the person I spoke to was very nice about the situation. She said she would give the info to the boss and they would call me soon, but make sure I keep the receipt. 3 days passed by and nobody ever called me back, so I decided to take that journey and go in person. I gave my receipt and explained what happened, it took a few minutes for them to call the boss for a decision. So the guy (not so friendly) started to make 2 of the same dinners that I had an issue with. I get home (mind you I traveled far), the oxtails were a little bit softer but the taste and the texture was just HORRIBLE, again. Their oxtails are definitely NOT the same anymore. Different texture and taste and they were filled with oil, even the fat on the meat was different, very rubbery like, definitely shouldn't be eaten. It tastes like the recipe has completely changed but for the worse. This was my go to restaurant even from a distance, but not anymore. The prices went up a few years ago and you still get the same amount of meat (not fair), but I was still a loyal customer. I didn't bother to call again because what's the point? I had had enough.. I won't be returning, I'm better off making my own...

If I could give zero stars, I would! Service was slow. Wanted to weigh my meal but didn’t know the cost per pound. Then, only gave three pieces of cut up chicken - not a whole leg/thigh with a whole heap of rice for a medium order. Chicken was dry. This Golden Krust was a complete disappointment. Better off going to a local Jamaican restaurant. The mom and pops will take care of you - quality and quantity wise. Support small businesses!

Stopped in to dine with my brother, visiting me from out of town.
Ordered curry chicken, brown rice with peas, and cabbage.
Unbeknowest to my my brother had dined an hour before meeting me. Nevertheless, he opted for a beef patty.
The food was not as delicious as the last time, but I was happy, nonetheless, and glad to support this particular establishment.
We were serviced by Ms. Denise. A lovely representative, and I promised her that I would draft a review of my experience ?
There was also a gentleman server, and he was equally as pleasant and charming as Ms. Denise.
I look forward to my next visit to Gokden Crust and will try the jersey chicken!
