Eggs and labneh are incredible. This might be my favorite breakfast in NYC. Everything else looks really delicious too but I can’t stray from my staple.
The staff are wonderful and the vibe is always great. Now that I’m thinking about it, this place should be called “Great, Thanks”

New York is, in a lot of ways, not an eater's town. There's a whole lot of upscale dining if you have deep pockets, a decent enough amount of street food, an astonishing amount of bad midrange stuff, and very little in-between. Good solid places where you can sit down, have a meal where everything is excellent, and walk out satisfied for under a hundred bucks are thin on the ground and the act of wading through all the mid crap means it's hard to stumble onto one without suffering through a lot of forgettable (at best) meals first.
Good Thanks is that rarest of critters: the perfect midpriced restaurant. All the food is excellent, the cocktails are lovely and balanced, they take their coffee game seriously in ways a lot of sit-down cafe-type places tend to neglect (God bless Australia), and you can get a solid brunch or dinner without doing too much damage to your bank account. This neighborhood in particular has been screaming for a joint to fill that niche. After the overpriced ten-year plus reign of Concord Hill in the same space, an inexplicably popular restaurant where I had three of the worst meals of my life, Good Thanks feels like a blessing from the culinary gods. Go for the $10.00 happy hour, get the shrimp bun and a glass of wine, sit out front and watch the neighborhood dogs go by, and then come back for the brunch. Places like this are rare and lovely treasures.

A Hidden Gem in Brooklyn Good Thanks Delivers Big Time
If you're anywhere near Brooklyn and haven't been to Good Thanks yet, do yourself a favor and go. This cozy little café is a standout, not just for its charming vibe but for what truly matters, exceptional food and top-notch service.
From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with genuine smiles and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and clearly care about the experience they're providing.
The food? Absolutely outstanding. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, using fresh, high-quality ingredients that shine through with every bite. Whether you're stopping in for a beautifully made coffee and a pastry, or sitting down for a full brunch, you can count on something memorable.
Good Thanks has that rare mix of cool, comfortable, and consistently delicious. It's the kind of place you find yourself recommending to friends before you've even finished your meal and definitely one you'll want to come back to. Don’t miss it!

This place is amazing! It has everything you want and more. A very peaceful ambience, great food and incredible service! The cherry on top for me was the genuine, kind Aussie service we received by a handsome young gentleman. He has a heart like a warm biscuit. Will defiantly be coming back :)

The best mushroom toast and coffee in Brooklyn. All of the food I’ve tried comes out tasting and looking beautifully. The staff is so nice and the place is cute. It’s also conveniently next to the train! My weekly stop in is always met by the nice Aussie manager :)
